there was a lot of sentiment like this when the Wii came out, but it didn't seem to affect how well it did on the sales floor. Nintendo is the longest running console brand in the world since pretty much all the other old console manufactures are in the software game or buried in the New Mexico desert under several tons of concrete with a million copies of ET for the 2600. I think they will get along just fine without EA if it came to that.

If it was just EA, yeah, but other publishers are worried about it too. It would be my console of choice in a heartbeat if I weren't so worried about third party support and it's technical limitations.

that's pretty much the story of every nintendo console to me. it seems like the vast majority of the good games for Nintendo consoles are 1st party releases... which leaves them with a sparse library of good games compared to the ones that have good 3rd party support.

Well, the WiiU has SSB, Bayonetta 2 (third party game), and Xeno-something, which are three more games than any of the other consoles have as exclusives that I want. But if the Watch Dogs or Final Fantasies skip out on the WiiU, that undoes the advantage it would have otherwise.

I won't plan on getting one simply because of the lack of good fighting games on Nintendo consoles. Smash isn't enough for me and I from what I hear TTT2 and Injustice have nearly non-existent communities on the WiiU.
