WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — A gay high school student in northeastern Pennsylvania said he was humiliated after a teacher showed her class a video of him dancing at the prom with his transgender date.

Jared Swank, 18, said the teacher was a chaperone at last week's prom and asked him if she could record the couple in hopes of giving her daughter a lesson in diversity.

Instead, Swank told The Citizens' Voice and The Times Leader, she played the video in her science class this week, drawing ridicule from schoolmates.

Swank said he wasn't in the class that saw the video, but word spread quickly throughout the school. It's not clear whether the teacher showed other videos or images of couples at the prom.

Eighteen-year-old Jared Swank says the teacher was a chaperone at last week's prom and asked him if she could record the couple.

Swank and his mother brought their concerns to the Hanover Area School Board meeting Thursday night. District officials said they're investigating.

Swank told the newspapers he's endured years of bullying from both teachers and students and that nothing has ever been done.

"I've been bullied constantly through high school with very little sympathy from school officials," he told reporters before the school board meeting. "I'm going to graduate in less than a month. I will be OK. My concern is for the next class and classes after that, who, if nothing happens, will have to deal with the bullying and torture I experienced, something that no kid growing up should go through."

School board President John Pericci said the district superintendent is conducting a thorough investigation.

"Of course I'm surprised and, more so, concerned," he said.

I'm more interested to why she was showing these films to classes.. Not that the hotness of said tranny isn't important..
