Best Soundtrack

which RPGs have the best soundtracks. I think Xenogears, Suikoden 2, Final Fantasy 6, and Final Fantasy Tactics.

Golden Sun 2 had some amazing music

Suikoden 1-3 and the Suikogaiden soundtracks, Legaia 2 had good music,Lufia 2, FF4, FF6, FFT, FFX, Xenogears, Elder Gate, Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross, SaGa Frontier 2, Skies of Arcadia, Grandia 1 and 2. My favorite non RPG soundtrack is Soul Calibur 2.

FF Tactics, Chrono Trigger, and the Grandia music is really good too. Anyone ever played Gitaroo Man? That has some of the best game music EVER.

Xenogears was a really great game...one of my fav all time games...but i didnt really like the soundtrack that much

yeah you have...lol I have the demo of it and we played it one time...you were better at it than me. Yeah it does have some awesome tracks.

Some more favorite soundtracks are Final Fantasy Symphonic Suite, and the two Suikoden Onkagashu soundtracks. Oh yeah and the Phantasy Star Collection I and II album that were realeased in short quantity in 1993...so in other words I'll never own this one.

sotn(hey tecnically it can be counted as a side scrolling rpg),ff tactics,vandal hearts 2,chrono trigger,and knights of the old republic which had new tracks besides for all the regurgitated music from the star wars trilogies..

yeah sotn is an awesome soundtrack that I always seem to forget about...Michiru Yamane is one of my favorite composers.

Michiru Yamane did Castlevania Bloodlines, Suikoden III(along with Takashi Yoshida and Masahiko Kimura), I think her most recent project was probably Lament of Innocence, Oh yeah and she did Elder Gate with two other composers...I don't remember their names though.

yamane is a wonderful composer...i saw the sotn soundtrack at my favorite gaming store but when i finally had the money to get it someone had already picked it up.

it isn't too hard to find on ebay. there are copys of it there all the time.

yeah most of the soundtracks I own I purchased off of ebay. Most of them are pretty cheap too.

even thoguh i dont like ff7 ill admit it has a kickass soundtrack (mainly one winged angel lol) and the pso (greatst soundtrack ever IMO) and gs1and2

the black mages is a good soundtrack. Suikoden recently put out one similar to it.
