Atari is preparing to capitalize on consumer demand for gaming nostalgia by delivering the Atari Flashback 2.0, styled after the Atari 2600 and celebrating Pong's 30th anniversary, to retailers this summer.
Featuring over 40 classic games, the Atari Flashback 2.0 includes some never before released on a home console. Asteroids, Centipede, Millipede, Lunar Lander, Breakout, Missile Command, and Combat comprise just a few of the bundled games.
"Unlike other nostalgia gaming products on the market, the Atari Flashback is the real McCoy and the games included are originals, not third-party ports," said Curt Vendel, president of the Atari Historical Society and contributing producer to Atari Flashback 2.0.
The Atari Flashback 2.0 will retail for $30.
