Which system has more GOOD RPGs???

I'm gonna say GBA. Both systems have lots of RPGs, and a fair number of decent ones, but GBA has more QUALITY RPGs than PS2 does. Golden Sun 1/2, Breath of fire1/2, and others are all part of the GBA's repotoire of RPGs.

i agree, even though i dont have a GBA there are a lot of good RPGs for it. They also get released here which is a boost.

I think the PS2 does. A lot of my favorite RPGs are on the GBA but most of them are ports, so it really doesn't count to me. the only original rpgs on the GBA that I know of is the Golden Sun Series, Final Fantasy Tactics Advance and Mario and Luigi. PS2 has Suikoden 3, Xenosaga, Disgaea, Legaia 2, Final Fantasy X, and soon it will have Suikoden 4, Star Ocean 3, Xenosaga Episode 2, Final Fantasy XII, and Legaia 3.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to change my vote to PS2...

(If you'll notice, this was made in january of 2004, so there've been lots of good PS2 RPGs since then, lol\).

I'll GBA, because I have a lot more on it to play, like Lathan said though most are ports, but I still haven't played them. PS2 has some really good RPG's but I've played more of them. Like duh. Anyway, I'm looking forward to all the GBA RPG's because there are so many that I haven't played. Seeing how I'm just now getting my hands on an GBA SP I have alot of catching up to do. :D

GBA. Final Fantasy I&II + Golden Sun I&II > All PS2 RPGs :D

Playstation 2. Unlike most people, I didn't care much for Golden Sun and while Breath of Fire is pretty good, its hardly enough to boost it over the PS2. Especially if you take into account the 'classicifcation' of action rpgs.

I'm going with sony, for all the fun times I've spent with friends playing RPGs on PS2.

damn... that's a bump and a half.

Even though I still think the PS2 has more good rpgs the gba is a few steps closer than it was... 15 months ago when I last posted in this thread........ lol

and by closer I mean that it has Fire Emblem 7 (and soon to be Fire Emblem 8 in May, and a possible port of Fire Emblem 6 later this year), Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, and FF1/2 Dawn of Souls.

Probably PS2 considering the fact that mostly all of GBA's quality rpgs are all ports. I can think of a bunch of original rpgs that were great for ps2 but I don't have all day too.

the dragon warrior series is infact the dragon quest series, and im afraid that started on the nes and was only on sonys playstation when it was up to numero 7.

your application for original game for ps2 credit has been DENIED thank you for chosing flyworks.

I'll let you have FF since im such a nice guy and square has only released chrystal chronicals and tactics advanced (beisdes their recent crap spewing on ff7 related products).

The GBA being a handheld basically based off the gaming consoles (really only from n-gage onwards were handhelds anything but portable gaming devices) one would expect it to have more ports then original games while the ps2 is actually a central figure in many an idea kinda makes it a lop sided battle.
