Yeah I'm bored so this is where I say something and someone responds in a way that may or may not piss me off. Let's see if people on this site are worthy of my attention. Frankly I'm getting tired of seeing pointless drivel being posted on this site.

Let's keep it intelligent and do try not to waste my time, if you can keep up your side of the conversation then you will have my respect. If I don't like you, consider any comment the equivalent to me pissing on. . .jk. . . . .or is it.

This isn't about being mean, it's about having a decent conversation. You just happen to be the only one that posts in here for now. I would hate to know that this is the best representation of conversational skills on this forum. Perhaps it is a reflection of it's members.

Then again I have found another forum with the most wonderful people that keep it smart despite what the topic is. Perhaps I shouldn't expect that level from this forum. Could it be the lack of a need to be smart or intelligent or capable of coherent thought? I doubt it, yet woe is me.

Laguna, you are not the only one on this site, but you are the only one posting in this thread. If there were more, my comments would be distributed evenly amoungst you all.

They don't just come here, they go to other forums, nothing that makes this forum different from others. Like you said, you don't post your poems here, you post them other places. So what is to make this place interesting.

I look for some sort of wit in people's posts. I don't see it here. It becomes pointless to try and stay on topic because what you have to say can't be said in a pm or on aim for some reason. Then there is the habit of going off on a tangent, which is fine, but then that person will stay on the same tangent and it goes no where. Can't hold an intelligent conversation.

well i think we all go to other forums...i have about 7 i go to...and all are the same, cause the point is that its a forum, its not a chat room or a IM like aim or such, theres no real time chat. you post, and then 2 days later someone else can post and it still be the same conversation, the main idea of a forum is to ask people what they think on things..like games or such..or to ask help for somthing..we have lost the main idea of a forum and try to use it for more..which is fine but when you dont like a forum because it is going by what its made for and the rules your looking for the wrong thing

Oh please don't try and peddle that to me. I know that forums are where you go to meet interesting people, or it becomes an inadvertant side effect. This thread isn't about chatting it's about posting something of value, not just some "oh I think that's cool" or "I agree with that".

A forum should be more than that, otherwise why even post. Whether or not someone likes a game or doesn't has no real impact on anyone else. If it was a discussion of the why or what it is exactly, that would be an acceptable reason for me to participate in the discussion.

Think of it this way, instead of saying why I found your poems to be lacking in substance and said "I do not like it" would you have noticed so much, would it have been as fun. Of course I was not aware you deeply rooted your emotions in your "poems" (interpret that how ever you want). With that I also have yet to find someone that can trade insults with and not have them turn all huffy on me. Let alone trade insults with me.

the whole "forum thing" shouldn't be taken so seriously. for me it's just something to do while I play games or watch tv. I'm trying to think of "cool" people that have left recently and I can't think of any. The same people that have always posted are still here, so I don't follow you there. The CW forum isn't the only thing that exists here either. It is a nice addition to the forum, but that's it. If this was a CW message board it would be different, but games and pointless convo is the general point of interest here. Not all topics have to have intelligent conversation. If they did this would be a dry, unlively place. I agree that there isn't enough of it, but because there is a lack of it doesn't mean that it doesn't exist. We do have a forum set aside for intelligent conversation... maybe you should start some threads there. The activity on this forum can be really hit and miss sometimes, that's why a certain level of spam has been allowed. In the early life of a forum activity is activity. When there are more members, and there is more posting, the rules will be enforced a little more strictly than they are now.

to put it short...

just post on the topics you like and ignore the ones you don't.

Well everyone is just too nice and there is little conflict. As for my reason for bringing up the poem thing, it was an example you would most likely relate to.

It's not hard to be intelligent, just use the backspace key or keep it simple. No need to draw it out to where it becomes more quantity than quality.

Be entertaining as well. If you must comment add something interesting. Some thing thought provoking.

So just make posts like that or with those elements and I'm sure we can increase the current level of piss poor forum to good quality forum.

ok, why is it that people who go through life trying to change it by straying away from the monotony of acceptable behavior are considered insane, why those who follow others like mindless drone bees, and do the same thing and yet hope things will get better and that they will get out of their dead end job by just doing the same thing? the definition of insane is a person who does the same thing repetitively and yet expexts a differant result. I think the alledged insane are the only sane ones in this wolrd. what do you think?

Well here's the problem. The people that are seen as insane have something they can not help. If perhaps they wrote their ideas down thus applying it to a context devoid of the scary "I am Napolean" rants. Being insane can be a bad thing. The reason why people are put a way or given medication is to prevent them from hurting themselves.

I've seen and studied scizophrenia (spelling) and people can not function if they have it. Because it's all internal they have no escape from it.

But that was not your point so I'll stop there.

Myself being weird, I have a tendency of deviating from normal thought. My teacher says that's a good thing because I have a more open mind on things. I say its a good thing because I'm more open to new things. Best thing to do though, to survive in the real world created by everyone one else, take your weirdness and apply it to something you like. It allows for fresh new ideas probably never thought of before. That's how you get great thinkers, deviation from the norm.

And sometimes when they do speak up because someone told them to, they said too much, or they say it too fast that it is taken the wrong way, or can't be understood at all.

No problem sweety, but I would have liked to see a question.

Where you have that problem you have it's equal opposite. You know those annoying people that don't raise there hand in class and state the first idea that pops into their pretty little head and will keep interjecting their idea till they finally get it right. I'm afraid there is a thin line between timid and being annoying like that, then again timid people can annoy me.

I do have my flubs when a thought in my head doesn't come out correctly when spoken. It happens, unfortunately some people take it seriously, but at the end of the day your friends know what you meant and I doubt you are going to talk to those other people.

You might bring up that the shy person lacking confidence is trying to gain acceptance of others by talking. Well then that is impossible. If you can't believe in yourself how will people believe in you. . .something like that. . .yeah something like that.

There's alot to discuss about social interaction and habits that people share. My friend Patrick loves me enough to steal the comments I make and use them as his own. I let him of course.

Lol, yeah. I'm still low on confidence. But I'm getting better. In the past 3 years, I really didn't trust anyone, so I didn't interact. But this school year, I've met a lot of people that make me want to talk out loud ^_^. It makes me feel better when someone understands.

Well I've been there, it wasn't till my sophmore year I started opening up about my ideas about world domination. I'm sure if its a dealling with people at school thing you'll have your problems. My best advice would be to stay around a group you like but make friends with other people that are not like you. Like I'm a slacker but I made friends with some of the student council people. I don't know about you though, my part of the country is really different. As long as you have a good group to anchor to you should be fine making new friends or at least getting them to like you but not exactly friends more of an aquaintance.

If anyone gives you guff about your opinions, as long as they are sound, I'll go find them and hurt them in some way. Probably with a huge knife to the ankle.

Heh, that'd be interesting. I'd go with the world domination o.o. I hang around "geeks", and other people that aren't generally accepted. I'd hopefully get along fine with other people, I just don't try hard enough, because the people that I want to talk to, they hang around all these other people that I knew in Elementary School that despise me because Ima different. Screw them, Ima fine with the friends I have now. ^_^

One time someone asked about my ideas of how to treat saddam

General idea: We strip him naked. We get two big black guys with huge dicks and they **** him. When they get done we get some sick sexual deviants and give them knives.

for 4 hours they have their way with saddam. every 15 minutes someone takes a knife and stabs him then has sex with the knife wound. So if he lasts the whole 4 hours that would be 17 knife wounds. I won the challenge of who could come up with the cruelest torture.
