Tales of Destiny 1/2

Who here has played these wonderful RPGs for PS1???

I've played, and beaten, both. They have a good battle system, and good character development too. All in all, they are 2 very underrated RPGs that can kick the arse of even games like FF7 and 8 in terms of quality (IMO).

Plus, they have decent difficulty. In Tales 1, boss battles are uncommon, but when you DO fight a boss, s/he's a tough customer. And of course, Tales2 has Hardcore difficulty for those who desire pain...

So, post your thoughts on these wonderful RPGs!

HEYY!!! I played 2, and beat it with meh friend....we're both Keele and Meredy! Keele's realllyyy...stuck up though...And we only beat Sukondaes once...(I think, is that even how you spell his name?) And at this moment, we're starting to play all over again xD

Yeah, Sekundes is hard, although on my game, i can beat him easily on Normal mode. And i prefer MEredy as a spellcaster over Keele, lol =/

Btw, regarding Sekundes' name...
Sekunde is german for 'second' (as in time). So thats probly where sekundes' name came from.

Tales2 is one of the best RPGs ever, IMO. Its so sad how underated it is. Anyone who likes RPGs should make it their mission to get and beat this wonderful game, lol.

Kellypoo, why didn't you ever mention to me that you play ToD2? I tried to get Andy to play, but he sucked...that's it, I'm getting a multi-tap and I'll use Reid so you and your friend can have the satisfaction of seeing Sekundes defeated...on Hardcore. BTW, if you use Indignation against Sekundes when his HP is less than 150,000 on Normal, you instantly win the battle...

Now, for all who haven't played...BUY OR DIE j/k
Although I will banish you to Vatenkesit for all eternity if you refuse to even try the game...(it's only $20, so don't say it's too expensive!)

Lol, i figured you'd say something like that nereid. My Characters are all Lv90-95,so i can beat any enemy on hardcore mode, even both incarnations of Nereid!! (although Regulus Nereid still gives me major troubles...)

If you only play one underrated RPG this year, make it this one.

That's funny...the only trouble I have with Nereid/Regulus is that I can't keep my buddies alive longer than one spell, then Regulus is in their face and Megacosmic Strike smacks down poor Meredy for 30,000 damage...Reid blocks for 2250.

Interesting...ANYWAYS, Nereid, I play with Jonathan lol. ..butt...we kinda went over the beaten file to make a new one or something. Now we have that green star thingy whatever. We were like.....I can't remember what lvls, but we were like...15-20 lvls below what was recommended to beat the game and bosses (I think, I'll havta ask Jonathan). Sooo, I never told you that I was playing, cuz I had no idea that YOUUUU were playing. Yeah.. like that made any sense...yeah...okay...

Dammit, I've been around your brother too much...I actually understood that. And the star thingy means you're on Continue+ and you can use the Hardcore difficulty.
And I was the one who first brought ToD2 into your house!

Lol, i know a way to get that star w/out starting a new game. Did you use that trick nereid?

Nope. It came with a risk of corrupting the data, and I only had 1 memory card. Me = no risk data!

Oh well, Kellypoo, I have to see how well Johnathan plays ToD2...if he can keep Keele out of Nereid's face and you keep Meredy away, we can sac the CPU character and I'll beat the crap out of him...PLEASE tell me you have Destiny...or at least Maxwell...his extensions cause massive pain (I've done over 50k at the start with Maxwell, than another 20k with Destiny). Unfortunately, if he uses Megaosmic Strike, Reid is the only one who can take the hit.

Does tales of destiny 2 have any relevance to tales of destiny 1? Like any story carry on or anything? Cuz i heard ToD2 is better and if it has no story connection then it would be cheaper to buy the beter one first.

ToD2 just has a few cameos from the original, like fighting a couple of the characters, summoing the others.

hmmm... I really want it now you know lol. Anyone played Takes of Phantasia? Its good, but i dont like playing games on ROM that much.

not really played them... i think i played the first a long time ago, but never got into it.. >_>
