this is fine... the other thread is a compare/contrast between FFXI and other MMORPGs.

I have it on PC, but I haven't had a lot of time to play it. It's ok I guess.. from what I've seen anyway. The only part that I don't like is that the game moves slower than just about any RPG I've ever played. It takes forever to do anything.


Buy Disgaea instead. :D

I love Final Fantasy XI. If you like MMORPGS, then chances are you'll like Final Fantasy XI. The graphics are beautiful(on PC at least, the resolution of the ps2 version isn't really all that great). This is th first MMORPG that I ever played that the people were kind and helpful. You interact with the Japanese players at all time, using this nifty auto translator(They have where you can type a one in English hit tab then it brings up a tab of what you would like to be translated). Then it translates it so that English as well as Japanese players can read. The only real draw back to this game is that it takes a way to level up,like levels 1-8 can be leveled in maybe 5 hours. After that, a good 1-2 hours per level. Not only that but the crafts are kinda dumb, in stead of using a stove to cook the food on you use a fire crystal. The crafts take a while to level up(like 2 weeks for 23 fishing levels). But if you wanna know how it is, its great I don't regret paying 15 dollars a month to play it at all.
