Young James Bond? I don't like the sound of this. From Moviehole (http://www.moviehole.net/news/5325.html)
Young James Bond to Bloom?
Posted on Sun, 27-Mar-2005
According to Sky, Orlando Bloom may indeed be wetting his lips with a couple of Vodka Martini's in the near future.
Bloom has long been linked to a new 'Young 007' film series - based on a series of books currently at the presses - but has been about as vocal as a feline with laryngitis about the project.
Now, he confirms there is some talk.
"I love the idea, in principle, as he can be far more adventurous and do more stunts. This is as near as I think I will get to playing the grown up James for the next 20 years", Bloom tells the site.
The first Young 007 novel, "Silverfin", is also the film they look like tackling first. Set in the 1930s, it follows the young Bond from school at Eton to his uncle’s house in the west Highlands, where Bond stumbles upon a megalo maniac American laird and sinister genetic experiments with killer eels.
A few studios are said to be fighting over the film rights to the books - with Miramax the rumoured lead contender.
