well yeah but in what the 2 games i have played you see Pesmerga in the last maybe 30mins of the games and Yuber shows up in the last hour. Sure i wanna see the backgrounds of them but not as much as the destruction of the gate clan, the theory of the sindaar and the accident involving the blue moon village, Sierra and Neclords power hungry schemes.

that is something that has always bothered me about Ted... he obviously has the gift to use rune magic. He was about 300 years old and for most of that time he had the Soul Eater. Why did he never get another rune, like a fire rune or lightning rune. He could have killed monsters with that instead of drawing Wendy's attention with the Soul Eater.

I would have liked to have seen more done with Jacques, but it's not going to happen in this Suikoden... or maybe... they never said much about Jacques' past, so they may decide to stick him with a true rune and have him show up in this game! ^_^ SHUT UP! I CAN DREAM, CAN'T I?! Seriously, there were a a few characters that really needed more developing because they were great characters and Jacques was one of them.

There's always a chance that there might be a character in one of the games who wasn't developed too much and were given a rune and sent into the world of Suikoden 4, so don't give up hope if I didn't name one of your fav's.

Actually, The True Holy Rune is a translation error. It's really called the Godspeed rune, a special non-true rune.

Luc and Sasari are only 32, they won't be in it.

Barbarossa's Sovereign Rune also isn't a true rune, but is often mistaken for one. Check suikosource.

The fact remains that True Runes elongate the lifespan of individuals. Barberossa died at age 54ish after many a battle, thus therefore considering he was commander would be where the supreme rule would come from and the voiding of magic is something a simple water/flowing rune can do for 3 turns, as can an mother/earth rune do. The ony speciality is the transformation into the 3 headed dragon whoch could just be the manifestation of the run when weilded to the sword.

and the manga translators of the Suikoden manga had credited Tenkan of Suikosource for help in the first pages?

All their info comes from the Genso Shinsho's, a publication released every couple of month's in Japan, as well as Konami's press releases.
The Shinsho is a publication Konami releases with information on major and minor stuff on everything Suikoden.

It has always been a true rune. Name some sites that don't.
Do they have any credentials?
Also, the list of true runes has been listed in Konami press releases and Shinsho's. So it has always been a true rune.

The reason why Windy wanted the Soul Eater was that she felt it would be perfect with her.
Causing death and destruction would have been her ideal, as the Soul Eater leaves this behind in it's wake.
She would have loved to have this to fight against Harmonia, which destroyed her Village.

Not really. Even though the Soverign Rune was more accessable to her it was on Barbarosa. She couldn't use any of her black runes on him because they wouldn't work (she didn't know that for some reason... I guess she isn't as learned as her sister). If she tried to take it... she'd have to do it the old fashioned way... by killing him. It isn't likely that she could do that. The Cursed Rune was an easier target for her even though it's far more destructive than most other true runes. Ted, it never showed anything so I'm just assuming, couldn't use the runes full potential. In the scene with the ant queen he used Hell instead of Judgement. He had the thing for 300 years and for some reason didn't have it... Tir in the beginning was an inexperianced spoiled brat that didn't, until later, grow into someone powerful enough to defeat Windy. That's just my thoughts on it...

I don't know... maybe not all true runes make you stop aging. Hikusaak gave his family that rune... I really don't know why Harmonia would give the Soverign Rune to his family if it wasn't a true rune. They gave the Blight family the Beast Rune and they were a family of lesser importance than Barbarosa's.

Whew I finally found it again!! The reason he ages I guess is because the Soverign Rune is attached to the Hilt of the Dragon King Sword and is not on him..lol I knew I had read it somewhere before I just had to find it again.


The family heirloom of the Rugner Family, the Dragon King sword has a tight-kept secret--one of the 27 True Runes, the Sovereign Rune, is attached to its hilt. Only Rugners know this fact, and for that reason the sword has been used as a symbol of the Emperor, always at his side.


The sword itself is not practical for combat due to its ornaments, but the Soverign Rune attached on its hilt provides its master protection against influence from other runes, and also allows its bearer to turn into a three-headed gold dragon. Barbarossa Rugner used these powers during the Gate Rune Wars.

they did, but like any site they figured out they fucked up and changed it asap.

and hikari there is no proof of suikosource being wrong simply because every time they have been (which has been a lot) they have eventually fixed the mistakes. They credited the soverign rune to being a support rune and were the last site out with the details on the true elemental runes. Other then that their forums are filled with egotistical pricks, game sprite and images arent anything to oogle about. The only thing they have going for them is having access and translatiors for things that do not have an english release.

Also, Bluemoon used to have this huge Leon Silverberg FAQ with tons of detail, but it said that Leon never married and never had kids. Well, he's got grandkids, so he must have had kids. That's why that FAQ was torn down ASAP.

I'm not saying Suikosource is wrong all the time, but they make plenty of mistakes that people have caught. No one's perfect.

The reason why Konami doesn't lists all their info is because it's released in the Shinsho's, which they profit off of. Also, they contridict and retract infomation a lot as well.

I admit they have made errors before; some were by human error admittingly.
