Will Xenosaga have any direct relations to Xenogears?

I'm starting to think it won't. I know they have a very similar name, and the same people (monolith soft) made both games, but I think they're taking this series in a totally different direction than what Xenogears was in. I think there will be a few things... like Jin=Citan and Able=Fei. They probably won't have the same names, and the exact same things probably won't happen because Square-Enix owns the copyrites to Gears....

I can't remember the name of the creator of the Xeno series but he said that they were giving it a face lift so I don't think it will have direct links. He'll probably pull elements from 'gears so he can finally create the world that he said he wasn't able to create while under Square.

Yeah, probly. I doubt it'll have the exact same thing as gears, but it'll touch on it.
