Ok this will take a while for the preperation so stick with me the first thing i need to do is get ideas for the awards.

Here is what i have so far.

Ef best thread starter award
Ef best poet award
Ef most active member award
Ef best help to ef award
Ef best mod
Ef best admin
Ef best custom title
Ef best avie
Ef best sig

this is not the nominations so do not start posting names, this is just to get everything started. If any ideas for awards post them.

I still don't like how it's being done, and I still stick to my reasoning: May I take time to protest the way in which this was done? "First five" wasn't such a good idea... it just made it easier for people on at that time. I'd much prefer if everybody had a week to get in two nominations... and then possibly a poll afterwards consisting of the five (more or less) with the most nominations, possibly with a headstart if they got more.'Course, it was a bit different on GC because they let you nominate yourself for some reason... but the principle still stands. "First five" just seems silly.

I actually agree with RM... if just the first five are taken, then we only get the opinion of the people who are immediately on... not neccessarily the opinion of everyone at EF.

I dunno, I think that it means that the nominations can be very biased depending on who's on at the time.

That's because everything could use a little improvement.
I think that the ones of us who voted did a good job picking those who deserve it, are you mad that you didnt get one?

maybe things can always inprove, but you are not always right, and you always seem to think you are... which is why I have always stayed away from you.

oh, and by the way... the only real point I have is that HE started this, and he can run it his way... I dont disagree that some ways are better, but hey, start your own contests :P

I think that the ones of us who voted did a good job picking those who deserve it, are you mad that you didnt get one?I've only actually looked at one thread, but I don't see why I would expect to get one. I'm not in your little group and few of you like me. I'm just saying the system is flawed.

It's a philosophy that works. I'm proposing a superior alternative; you should probably speak against it with something other than "I don't like you."

EDIT:oh, and by the way... the only real point I have is that HE started this, and he can run it his way... I'm aware it's his choice, and I leave it to his discretion... not that I have much choice in the matter.

I think Raist is on key with his points, its somewhat unfair to expect the five people currently on to nominated the five most qualified people. Sure there may not be a whole lot of members worth nominating in each one, but I think its legit for all of EF to be involved in the nomination process.

Im not saying that I dont agree, I am just saying that it doesnt matter, see... all of you would do it that way, and everybody else would too, but at least this way we get somthing that isnt JUST like everybody else... and, its fun to try to be on as the threads are going :D
