The battle of the original castlevanias!!
Will it be 1, 2, 3 or 4???
As far as Belmonts go, Simon starred in 1 2 and 4, and Trevor was in 3
Personally, i loved 2 the most. The fact it was like a RPG, but still held so many of the castlevania elements, made it my fav.

4 is the best of all of those. 2 is great, but 4 kicked ass. Symphony of the Night is the best in the series though.

Yeah, they were all good, but i just fancied 2 more than the rest. 4 would be a close second.

I liked 4 more than the others. And SotN, was awesome, what I can remember of it anyway.

Castlevania was good because it is the original, but the controls and lack of a saving or password system left something to be desired.
Castlevania II: Simon's Quest could have been better if it would have been more detailed, as far as knowing what the hell you are suppose to do, when & where to do it, and what item(s) you use to accomplish each task! CII: SQ was ok, but could have been better if not for the lack of details.
Castlevania III : Dracula's Curse was great because of the added elements(multiple playable characters, choosing your path, etc.) My only complaint is the fact that Grant, Sypha, and Alucard are all significantly weaker than Trevor.
Super Castlevania IV is just a remake of Castlevania, but it is a damn good one.
I, myself, do not have a favorite, or think one is better than the other. I like them all! They each bring something different to the table.

Well, I voted for 1 because that's the only one I ever played. There's a new one coming out soon.
1 was pretty good, it's been along time since I played it though. Not sure if I ever beat it.

So far, I'm liking Lament of Innocence. Good fusion of the RPG elements of newer castlevanias with the platformer-esque style of the "old-school" castlevanias.

While I love all the Castlevania games(including the teeth grinding ones on the original Gameboy), my one problem with the 3D Castlevania games is that the camera is horrible. The two N64 ones I can let slide to a degree, because it was the first time Castlevania had ever been in 3D. While I love Lament Of Innocence, the camera was the one thing that bothered me more than anything. I know they are going for the whole RPG look, but dammit, do not fuck with my camera! Give me the ability to control it! I cannot comment on Curse Of Darkness yet, for I have not played it.

The camera hasnt bothered me THAT much thus far. Its not the greatest, but I've experienced much worse =/

there are a few parts later on where you have to do a lot of swinging around on your whip where the camera gets kind of annoying... but overall it wasn't that bad.

Never saw this thread before lol. I voted for Super Castlevania IV as it's still my favorite of the old ones.
