True Flame Champion

Note: Sorry if this has already been made Laggy, I checked up to the last 100 days.

Who do you think it makes the most since to become the Falme Champion in Sukoden III or better yet has anyone read the manga that far to find out who it actually was.

IMO: Hugo makes the most since, he's from the grassland and he doesn't have a tie to one of the other true runes. He talked about wanting to do something big throughout his journey unlike Chris and Geddoe. However, I think that it is more compelling to have Geddoe take over for the Flame Champ since he was actually with him before.

Chris as the flame champ doesn't make a lot of sense to me personally...

I went through the game twice.First making Chris the flame champion because i like her the most shes a powerful char and i like her.I made Hugo the flame champion the 2nd time and i think he was a better choice.Main reason his fire magic gets to level B Chris can only get to C.It is also better to give Chris the True Water Rune since she gets a level B for it and Hugo only gets a C.Also Chris' dad had the True Water Rune before her so it makes the most since to give it to her.As for Geddoe i just kept him with the True Lightning Rune becuase his lightning magic is a level A sop hes already got powerful magic why change that?Plus he's more of a follower/helper i think than a leader maybe thats why he followed the previous flame champion because he's not a good leader.I mean he had a True Rune he could of led,he had the power to lead but he chose not to and it has to be respected.Maybe i will make him Flame Champion if i ever go through the game a 3rd time.Altima

I gave it to Hugo, because he seemed the most logical choice. As has been said, Chris doesn't make much sense since her father had the True Water, and Geddoe already had the True Lightning. Also, I cite the magic skill levels, as have also been said before, lol.

Yeah i beat you to that all important point about who's stronger with what magic.Haha ya snooze ya lose :) But Hugo is obviously the best choice since no one in his family ever had a True Rune and Chris' dad had 1 so she should take it over like it being passed down through the family and Geddoe already has 1.Hugo becomes Flame Champ saves the world then takes over being the chief of his village after his mom(Who's very hot for a anime like character)lol Altima

Well yeah but Geddoe also goes to an A in fire and Hugo to a B in lightning...if you want to reason it that way.

Canon and storywise, Hugo is the one with True Fire. It's pretty obvious.

I like giving Ged the Fire Rune, but then he loses the True Lightning Rune.

Why is this even a question? The answer the game wants you to get is Hugo. Geddoe is Lightning, and Wyatt had Water, so that leaves Hugo with Fire.

As for pure elements, I'll agree with that. I never liked Hugo as a Flame Champion, though; he just doesn't seem capable of inspiring people. Because of that, I generally make Chris my FC (though Geddoe's speeches are fun for comic relief ^.^).

I've played through it three times and chose all three of them. Hugo is the one that makes the most sense storywise in my opinion. The first time I played through it..I knew Hugo was supposed to be the flame champion but I made Chris the FC because I wanted to. It never really mattered because I didn't use any of their True Runes that much anyway.

I used True Lightning and Water more than fire, because I hate that fire causes collateral damage...

Water has Kindness Rain on Lv1, and Lightning is just incredibly powerful, lol.

I never liked the Regular fire rune, but the True Fire Rune was used a lot by me.
