Lathan would be the Dark Knight. Evil, but with a sense of humor about what he does.

Cyrus would be a knight who, like me, cracks wise, but people always prefer to laugh at my wit than his.

Laguna would be the hot-headed in-yuor-face first to storm the enemy base gunner.

Leknaat woould probly be a mage who mainly provided support and the occasional ass-saving ultra-spell.

Kenny would be the sex crazy guy. You know the one...

Hmmm...revised list...

Me: NOT the main character, but the witty rough-looking warrior who is always there to help. I end up saving the party from the bad guy about 50-60% through, and everyone think i died. But then i return, and i save the party just as the main baddie is about to destryo em. Then, after he's been repulsed, I fight the party to stop them from doing something that would infintely help the bad guy even though they think its gonna stop him, lol.

Lathan: Some sort of dark knight or something. He's evil, but he's helping out the good guys for some reason. Later on we learn he has a grudge on the main baddie, but he needed our help to destroy him. He too fights the party later, but cant bring himself to bear his full force upon us. Once he learns what it means to have friends and try to HELP people, he gains his ultimate kill-em-all attack, lol.

Laggy: He's still the hot-headed, in-your-face, first-to-storm-the-enemy-base gunner.

Cyrus: The thief character. Most RPGs have one. Wants to seem like a scoundrel, but really has a heart of gold. Awww ^_^

Kenny: Again, he's still the sex crazy guy. He could be a mage, but he's most likely that warrior who 'tried' to win the big battle tournament. Quite the primadonna.

Fly: You cannot perfect any further on demi's definition of him.

Manda: She's the ranger-type character. Skilled at physical and magical combat. Probly uses daggers or some other quick to wield weapon. She secretly likes me, but she's die 100 times before even thinking of telling me :chuckle

Taryn: Really powerful dragoon who has low Magic Defense (lol). She likes ALL the guys, and doesnt hesistate to try and show it, lol. At one point, the bad guy captures her, and she flirts and hits on him so much he lets her go, figures he can have plenty of other girls who wouldnt be such a bother.

Demikain: The stereotypical "kid" character. Yeah, you know the one.

Jethro: The other "kid" character. Probly like Demi's little brother or something. Is extremly weak till he gets the Omega Nuclear spell or whatever its called.

Leknaat: The Summoner/White Mage of the group. She's the main "heal the fighters while we recklessly get our asses kicked" character, who can also call a dragon to devour the enemies. Aside from the dragon, also has the ultra-magic for really tight spots, or when the main baddie proves his badassness by killing the poor wittle dragon...

Well, it really depends on the game. In suikoden, or Grandia, magic is quite powerful, all the way through. But on other games, usually by the end, or even middle, using physical attacks is just more effective and quicker.

Magic is uselful in all RPGs.
Some enemies are resistant to physical attack. Besides, irl, IMO...if you attack again and again. Wouldn't your arm get stress out, thus decreasing your attack power? RPGs don't have that, but that would happen irl >_>

As for my character, i dunno. I really don't think i'd actually care to be a holy knight. I'd be like pretty much what i described before actually, lol.

The actual class of my charater i would want to be Time Knight or something to do with the manipulation of time and space (but not a time mage). I'd have both high-power physical AND magic, and no, my magic wouldnt me like crappy time mage stuff like haste and demi (the spell), i'd have ultra-****-em-up type spells, lol.

well since not many ppl know me(i'm still kinda a noob) i'd be that wacky hidden character. i wouldn't really be a necessity beating the game and saving the world...but it'd still be mildly cool to have me in the group. personality wise i'd be like ash from army of darkness...wise cracking,sarcastic,and disillusioned"hey look! i found a cure for ugly!" "does your mama kiss that face?" "nectrum vetra.... COUGH" "yeah i said the words! really..." mainly i'd be lethal with guns and a sharp machette. i'd have a large chip on my shoulder but though i'd always want to take the easy way out and swindel my friends or leave the village to die my good heart would always get in the way so i'd end up doing the "right" thing.

Me: Leader (good w/ both physical attacks and magic, though leaning towards physical attacks). The brains AND brawn of the party who gets all the girls :D:D:D
Lath: Co-Leader (like some supreme dark knight or somethin). A delightfully evil person
Laggy: A basic physical fighter who provides us with hours of comic relief at his expense :D
Lekky: The sexy sorceress :love (duh :P)
Cacaw: A lesser fighter who provides the party with all the alcohol and drugs we could want, and also gets the enemy high to make battles easier >.>
Maccaw: Another fighter whom we use for bait when we go monster-hunting, or as a shield when clashing with the enemy's army. Constantly beset by Cawky.
Dionne: A cleric who instead of healing Cawky, beats him on the head with her staff. Possesses a special pendant that turns pokes into healing power O.o;;;
Fly: A bloodthirsty drunken warrior who always passes out in the middle of battle :D
Bella: The lead female fighter whom I always pester (cuz its fun!) >.>
Kaffee: Our strategist, second only to me in tactical capability. Also stays on top of the latest in weapon and armor designs >.>
Black Angel: The hyperactive little girl on a permanent sugar high o.o;;;;;;
Hotaru: Same as Black Angel >.>
Setzer: A support fighter who blends into the scenery. Also constantly beset by Cawky.
