View Full Version : FF11 vs. other MMORPGs

I'm just curious to hear how people who've played FF11 think of it compared to other online RPGs like Everquest and the like. I'm thinking about getting it, and it'll be my first online RPG ever, so i'm just wondering if there's something better out there or what.

I have it, but i cant play it cause i have better things to spend my money on right now...i have played it a little tho..and IMO...its not all that great...i wouldnt spend to much time one it, but thats just me...i say go for it dude

I'm getting a new comp this week, and its gonna have tons os ram and all the other stuff you need to play games good, so i've been thinking about getting it, lol.

yeah on a fast comp with alot of room would be nice for that game...lol i see you fixed the thread name aswell

well... I've got FFXI now, but I haven't had much time to play it. so far it's alright. I'm working on leveling up as a thief.

I doubt it as ive heard almost everything comes out in japan first then the us then everywhere else

well, first is the japanese release, then the NTSC (North america) release, then PAL (europe/australia/etc)

well theres a few lan places which advertise that they have FFXI on their pc's. I'll go check it up to see if it did get a PAL release already for yas.

XI is definetely worth buying... then again, I'm not paying for it and neither is Taryn. So is it worth the money? No idea. If you do get XI, get the PS2 version over the PC version. PC is slow and complicated, I played RO and it's 2D and I had trouble with it. It'll suck the Gigs right out of you! That's what's nice about XI, you can play it on PS2 ^_^

I'm gonna get it soon enough (maybe within my next few paychecks or so if I can). Some very nice people offered me a spot in their server to play...can't ver well turn that down now can I? lol..hopefully I'll get it soon...jeez wish I could get it for free, don't know how you pulled that off heh...
