LOL, there are others you should name. Such as holy, meteor, demi, etc.
And in other RPGs there are also wind and earth magic. But I think you're going by FF spells.
I'll go with my all time favorite lighting spells and Flare.

Yep. Kuja uses FlareStar as well, which is the coolest spell in FF9 IMO.

Nooooo, you people are all silly. Curaga pwnz all those spells. Because any other attack can do similar damage counts, but when it comes to healing I hate using items. I love using spells for that, but regular/special attacks and summons rather than magic for attacking.

Yeah, i like curaga too. Cept in FF8. For some reason, i luffs FF8's Cura spell ^_^

I have played other rpg's but ff's my favourite so i usually do polls on ff's
