Meh, i'm not big on the genre. The only one you could count is PArasite Eve 2 (thats right, it goes here, not in RPG). I've been meaning to play em more, but...they're just not high enough on my to-play list...

Leknaat
03-23-2004, 03:04 AM
lol I've never played Parasite Eve 2...just the first one..

Lancet Jades

You all need to expand on these games >_> all im seeing is RE and PE which neither of these series are truly scary LOL

Il have to say Eternal Darkness, Clock Tower 3, aor The Fatal Frame series, these games actualy scare you, hell Fatal frame can make a person not want to finish the game lol if there not with someone in the same room lol

Lancet Jades
03-23-2004, 03:51 PM
I've never played any of those games.... >_>

I really should expand my gaming horizons, but RPGs and action games are just so much damn fun!!!!!111

Zelphiel
03-26-2004, 03:18 PM

Lancet Jades
03-26-2004, 04:48 PM
I wanna play a VR RPG!! Like .hack!!!!

That would be teh r0x0rz...

But yeah, a VR horror would be cool too, lol. Better yet, they could remake other horror games into a VR version, lol.

Leknaat
03-26-2004, 10:43 PM

Zelphiel
03-27-2004, 12:41 AM

Lancet Jades
03-27-2004, 01:02 AM
Hell, i WOULDNT have a life if they existed!!!

Well, i would. I would have a life in the game. lol

Zelphiel
03-27-2004, 01:40 AM

eternal darkness and the new game nocturne on the pc are proably two of the scariest games ever..i heard the suffering is good as well. fatal frame 2 rocks by the way..though it still has the same crappy akward control scheme as most other horror games!

The original Clock Tower for the snes. I never even would have played it if it wasn't for Noah and Holly always talking about it. THAT game is like, the scariest thing ever made. Seriously.

Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill 3, and Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem are awwwwwwwwesome.

I'd really like the original Silent hill, but the game's controls are so horrid it isn't even funny.

Resident Evil 4 or Eternal Darkess, god, ED needs a sequel bad, that game kicked ass.

Agreed.

I'd also list "The Suffering" up there. It's probably the second scariest game I know of and have played; if not just for the noises/sound effects/voices in the game. Seriously creepy...

Silent Hill 3 pissed me off. It only made me jump ONCE, wasn't that scary, and I was also able to beat it in 4 hours. Talk about disappointing...

The scariest game I ever played was Britney's Dance Beat (PS 2), no seriously Clock Tower on the Playstation one was very cool also, but my favorite horror game of all time is Friday the 13th on the nes. Anyone remember it?

I don't know about you all... but that "Pokemon" serious was pretty scary for me =P I mean, seeing wild animals, that look like rabbits or something, Jumping out... scared me. And the one that looked like a tree, I think, scared me too. He could hide in the woods and you'd never find him. =P But... really... RE is the best... I bet RE4 8 times, I think... I lost count =P But, has anyone ever played Extermination? It's not all that famous, but its fun.

Doom series and resident evil series the whole turn around the corner only to be jumped on by some zombie like human with frog like reflexes was always a bit scary to me.

I have the 1st Suffering game and it was pretty scary even tho I never finished it. The Resident Evil series was also good. I also liked Koudelka.

Fatal Frame 2 has got to be the best horror game I've ever played. Don't get me wrong - I love Resident Evil 4, but I prefer ghost-type of video games, if you know what I mean. FF2 makes me scream so loud my friends and brother ban me from screaming ever again - well, that's not really true - but I can tell by the way they look at me. ^^;

...I just love being spooked by ghost movies and games. <3

Resident Evil and Clock Tower, I say. Resident Evil was creepy, but Clock Tower was just downright scary.

I found Condemned Criminal Origins to be a really good horror game. I had more fun with it than I did with any Resident Evil or Silent Hill game, and I've played a lot of them. I hear they're amking another one, and I look forward to playing it.

For pure fright factor, i'd pick the Silent Hill series. Resident Evil had some scary moments, but it was more consistent in Silent Hill.

Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 2.

The Suffering actually scared me a bit I think but I never finished it to see how it ended.
