ok, I noticed this today... not really noticed but realized.

At my school you have your mainstream type group of ppl, you know what i mean, the "normal type ppl" and then you have the group of ppl that are supposed to be different than everyone else. These guys and girls want to be different so they wear different types of clothing... but their philosophy is to be different. Now to my point, if these people are wanting to be so different then why do they let themselves be put into a stereotype, I mean the whole purpose of this group is to not conform to the mainstream image but at the same time they are all acting the same and wearing the same types of clothes and whatnot. I'm part of this group... sorta, I'm like an outcast because part of the time I'll wear band shirts and the like, but the other half I'll wear nice "mainstream" as they would call it, type clothing.

My question is, who is really being unique? The ones who are putting on an image to be in a group, or the ones who don't conform to that image but still enter into the said group?

its not about being the same or anything, its just up to the things you like, one group of people like one thing, and another likes another

I'd have to agree. For the most part, true renegades no longer exist. There are a few exceptions, of course, such as those who belong to no specific group. This is possible due to the fact that they don't have any close ties to any group in particular, yet hang out with every group at any given time. I'm kind of like that, drifting between the ROTC's (I'm not ROTC, in case you were wondering) the IB kids, the anime fanatics, the fasionable (read: queers, my personal fave group to hang with) the punks, the stoners, and occasionally the popular group. I feel no real attatchment to any of them, but I get along with all of them, so yeah.

Well...I don't know...really...That's a good question...

(You know, Setzy...I wish I know why your friends hate me so much...The past couple days all I've heard from them is..."F*** you"...and crap like that...and I don't even know why they're doing it...)

don't ask me what's up with em, i've been catching up with friends i've sorta neglected so i have no idea what their deal is

anyhow, I realize that you can't really ever be unique in this society. It's just that I'm the type of person that likes to not be simply put into a stereotype which in itself is sort of a stereotype... I know that online i seem to be a simple person, but even within my own group i don't like certain things that go on while i do enjoy certain things that go on in other groups. If you were from my area then you'd say i'm a pretty open minded person.
