Probably Aeris' death from Final Fantasy VII. I was personally glad she died, but nearly EVRYONE has either seen it or heard of it before in some way or another. I'd be willing to bet that's one of the most famous cutscenes (and most famous plot twist) in RPG history. I just wish Sephiroth stabbed her a few more times.. damn annoying wench.

I agree with you on that. I also agree with you about being happy when she died. ^_^ I never liked that character.

theres also Kefkas ascension to a god and the rising of paramekia as the pinnacle to hell in ff2.

Not to mention the garden fight in ff8..i pity that galbadian on the bike that shoulda goten cleaved in half.

But I agree that the best known cutscene is either her death or the Sephiroth flame scene.

When sephiroth was in the burning city of Nibelheim at the story part in Kalm. Aeris's death was also good. I liked when cloud,tifa, and sephiroth were in the burning city of Nibelheim and Sephiroth showed him that picture they took before going to the reactor during the walk to the promised land I believe. That and when Cloud put the Black Materia in Seph's green crystal and the weapons came out. Another 1 was the long story with Tifa and Cloud after you beat Aerial Weapon in Mideel. Last but not least When the weapon attacked Junon and got its head blown off.
