Be jealous, I have teh Suikoden 2.. for free xD Anyway, I started playing and it's good so far but I was wondering if it's worth playing Suikoden first for the storyline and the game data?

The storyline in the first one is a pretty big part of it... but the biggest reason for playing the first is the game data. With your 100% data you'll get to use Tir in Suiko2 along with his Soul Eater rune. :D

I would play Suikoden first but I know alot of people who have started out on others and went back so it's not a big deal. As for the save data it's worth it but it's not necessary to enjoy the game. Tir is a powerful character and it's fun using his soul eater plus the nostalgia factor but the first time I played through it I didn't get him and I enjoyed it just the same. I would recommend carrying the save data over eventually though:D

I got both Suikoden 1 and Suikoden 2 for free :P

Definately play part 1 before part 2 because if you play them out of order, parts of the previous game will be spoiled for you and you won't fully grasp the relationships between certain characters in the later ones.

i got both free too...illegial free ^_^

1 is great, just great compared to 2. Thats just cuz i like 1 better then 2 tho, it isnt neccessary for storyline as they tell ya the basis of why you do shit anyway.

Hmm, I think I'll get the first one before carrying on with Suikoden 2 then. Although it may take a while to get a working copy >_<

I could, but I'd rather not.
