Male/female character choices

Whenever you're presented with an option in a game to choose either a male or female character, whether you're creating the character from scratch, or if its a choice between two pre-existing characters, which do you usually choose?

I usually go with the male character, although sometimes, i choose the female (example is Legend of Mana--the male guy looked like teh queerness).

Since it is already at the male I choose the male, if it was at the female I choose the female

I choose female. The male is always stereotypical, and theres hardly ever female characters. And in Sword of Mana the guy looked teh queerness, so i picked the gurl.

I only picked the guy cuz i wanted to see the same story as was in FFA for the original GB.

If I'm creating a character, my first is always female, then I usually have a guy (unless they have to be all one gender). When choosing a character, it's about who looks coolest. And usually if there's 3 options it's a corny looking guy, a cool-looking guy and a decent looking girl... so I choose the cool guy ^_^ But like in Suiko3, I choose Chris cuz she's the coolest one.

Yeah, i agree. Chris wast he coolest in S3. But, i also liked Hugo. I ended up choosing him as the flame champion.

that's what I don't get about the PAL guys....

they're giving you S4 but not S3...

unless they plan on releasing S3 as well...

No they dont, and S4 isnt that big of a deal compared with S3 since S4 takes place before the first suikoden. So theres no problem with linkage to other suikodens. But still i dont see the reason why they didnt port it and all they gave was 'localisation issues' like no one gave a crap.

Edit: how do i do **** like that?...male...but now if you read my next post i changed it because i've been playing better games that have girl charecters and im starting to not give a damn about who the charecter is aslong as the game is fun.

I usually go for the cooler-looking of the two, actually. And that's usually the male. However, if the girl's hot enoguh (and/or the male's too queer >_>), i'll pick the girl, lol.

i dont care, if its a game where you pick male or female i always play the game through with eatch charecter, if its a game where your a guy, i like it, and if its a girl i like it..its up to the story line, game play, and stuff like that..its not up to rather your charcter is guy/girl, white/black thats somthing that doesnt matter

woah, sabin and evil penguin are here? sweeet.... I never gave much thought to it, but I usually have a male character. I enjoy using female characters when both are available (dark cloud 2 (monica rocks, and so do swords (plus she looks good in the panther ensemble(..... I am such a perverted loser.... must destroy myself)))

but I choose guy, cuz if I choose a female, I don't know what to call her, I can't call her CENSORED besides, I worry that I may find a girl who likes video games, then I have given the girl character a name that corresponds coincidentaly to a girl in my class. (hasn't happened yet *deletes old "beach voliball" files*)

I almost always pick female, cause I want to feel/pretend like it's me in the game, you know? I'll always make the character do what I would do in the situation (assuming that the option to do that is there...) And if the character's a guy, it just ends up being kinda wierd...

I always seem to pick a female for some reason, maybe cause I write female leads. In Morrowwind I picked a female, did pretty good with until I lost my X-Box. :(
