which of the two series of games do you like the most. I'll admit... I'm a capcom fanboy. KoF and SNK's other titles have always been fun games, but SF has always been my preferance. KoF does however have Geese, Terry, and Mai which make it more than worth playing. :chuckle
In all honesty I wish they'd both try a little more innovation like Sammy does with the Guilty Gear series.

to add to this conversation... which KoF fighters do you think fit in more with the SF team and vice versa...

KOF is way better than SF... then again, I'm an Iori fangirl... =P
let's see... Dan would fit in with the Art of Fighting team, but that's probably because he was a parody of Ryo...
It's not KOF, but I always thought that Grant(from Garou) and Akuma would be fairly interchangable...

this is like asking me to pick between my children... i mean i have the same number of copies of street fighter as i do KOF. *pulls a florida and is undecided until Neo Wave comes out*

i love street fighter, king of fighters is very good but i really like stree fighter better
I gotta say Street Fighter, since I've only played like two of the KoF games, but I will say that Nettou KoF 96 is pretty fun.

ah i cant wait, there are too many SF Fans GO KOF!!!
I do like KOF, but Street Fighter 3 is a close second to my favorite 2D fighter.
If you could tell me a KOF worth buying than I'd be willing to try it out.

a KOF worth buying eh? well if you have a dreamcast Mark of the Wolves is a good one if you can find it and well Neo Wave is gonna be good. i bought 99 and played some other ones in the arcades
My neighbor has a dreamcast and I can always make him buy it. He likes 2D fighting games also, so yeah.

they're all pretty good... but of the KoF games I'd recommend 98, 99, and 2000.

Mark of the Wolves is a Fatal Fury game, not a KoF. Besides, you can download and play via emulator almost EVERY SNK fighter ever released, period. There's no reason to buy them.

eh... I like actually owning the games myself. I still play a lot of them on emus... but most emus aren't known for having really good controls. 4 directions instead of 8 complicates a lot of moves in fighting games.
Yeah, that the main problem I have with Emus. If I had a PC joystick I'd use it... But I dont.
Sides, I can't get any good emulators on my comp. If I did, I'd be playing Power Stone Wars right now ^_^

I've got a usb adapter for my ps2 controller... but my arcade stick won't work with kawaks for some reason.

Strange.. I've NEVER had that problem. My controls work fine and always have, and have always had 8 directions. Playing games on emulators for me is exacally the same as playing them in the arcade. No differences whatsoever

hmm... maybe I'm doing something wrong then. I've always had a mountain of trouble with getting any diagonal direction to work with kawaks.

yeah Garou isnt a KoF game but it still gets the point across and will lead to a love of SNK fighters :D

Meh Guilty Gear is to flashy... and insta kill moves are just stupid
personal, I prefer the Capcom Vs SNK games more then the companys single games. I like being able to make a team with terry and ryu and what not lol
Neather wins for me, I like both equaly

I like CvS as well... but most of the SNK fans don't like it because their fighters were 'capcomized'.
as for guilty gear... fuck you too :P
