Also, i love BA-BOOM! on Grandia 2 and 3.

Lol, yeah. I liked a lot of the Lv4 true rune spells. Judgment, Forgiver Sign, Hungry Friend, and the elemental spells, they were all cool.

Judgment is the Soul Eater's ultimate spell. Hungry Friend is the one you're thinking of.

hell was the level 3 soul eater spell... but it's great because it works on almost everything.. unlike most other death spells.

I heard it sucks cause if you put him out of your group you have to travel all the way back to where you got him and get him again and I dunno I like my final party

yeah, that's the only bad thing about it.. but he's strong and he has the best attack rune in both 1 and 2.

actually in 2 he can unite with the hero there so he has double purpose of eliminating huge parties and the souleater rune, which to date is the best run in the series i personally think.

and no dispell doesnt neccesarily screw me over because i always have one dedicated member to uber up the party while the other two pound away. So in effect it takes longer to finish a battle but i walk away relatively unscathed.

it blocks magic, Barbarossa exclaims this during a conversation with Windy saying my soverign rune blocked ur gate run or sumthing like that, and i think it was the combination of the Dragon King sword and the rune which made him a golden 3 headed dragon not just the run itself. I could be wrong though.

Dark Matter all teh goddamn way!! And uh.. Southern Cross kicked some ass on SO2. Ultima is a good one... Luminaire is another favourite. FlareStar!! Kujas Multiple enemy Flare attack! Damn i love that attack..

Flarestar was also a great enemy attack in FF6.. if you could get gau to learn it. I think you hade to leap onto an Io.

Yeah, flare star rules (even if you cant learn it, lol). Luminaire does too. And i preferred Meteor Swarm and Extinction on SO2.

the great thing about it in FF6 is that it doesn't take much MP from Gau, and it does 6000-9999 from everything. It's a non-elemental spell I believe, so nothing can have an elemental resistance to it.
