According to the Norwegian television channel NRK, the rat got into a transformation station and walked across two energized bars. The rat’s adventure ended with a short-circuiting in a power switch and a powerful explosion.
As a result 15,000 people in downtown Bodø were without power for more than two hours Thursday evening.
«The damage was not too great,» said Sverre Pettersen, engineer at SKS, to the television news. «It was limited to what we call a high tension area, so we can have it fix within a couple of days.»
