You guys should really attempt to vote, it prevents a certain group of individuals from running the country. Voter turnout is a big problem.

nah.. my vote and oppinion is never heard and it never will be.. why should I care. The government is run by a bunch of idiots anyway... it will always be like that no matter what year it is, the country they're in, or who's in office.

I'd have to agree with lathan. As good as a president, or any other politician is, there are millions more that would be better, but they never get the chance. I'm gonna be voting more for the novelty of it than anything else, but i do think that Bush is better than some of the others that are around right now =/

I don't think he's really worse or better than the others. They're all idiots, and you can't trust a damn thing they say. My oppinion of politicians in a nutshell.

yes it was mandatory but luckily they forgot to add me to the roll anyways, i'll have to next election which looks to be soon so of course i'll be voting for the giant nob as the first preferrence with ballsack 1 and 2 following. In other words me = donkey vote because eventually im pissing off anyway.

Lol, yeah, but arent Democrats and republicans reversed over there? I mean, a US Democrat is more or less the same as a Aussie Republican?

And yeah, lucky you. Getting out of mandatory voting...you ougta be ashamed...

actualy we dont use those terms we just have the major parties in the Liberal/National Party and the Labor Party, then the minor parties in the Greens, Independants and Democrats as the main frontrunners of the rest.

So really theres no democrat or republic feel to it its just do you like the monkey, the person who cusses at everything, a big loud bitch, a hippie or the new guy.

Lol yeah. I never did get a handle on politics over there. But what i meant was the general ideal of republicans and democrats are opposite.
