Mine would have to be, Millennium Actress, directed by Satoshi Kon. I really enjoyed it all, especially the way the story moves. The story is touching, but it's the way it's presented that makes it so intriguing. It's almost poetical, the way it travels from setting to setting. it's not linear like in alot of movies. Also the animation is very well done as is the music. The premise of the story is that a reporter named Genya Tachibana finds an old key, and the movie studio he worked at is being torn down. He, as well as Ida the cameraman are sent to make a doc about the 70 years the studio was in business. Tachibana choses to do it on Chiyoko
Fujiwara, the legendary actress who kept it in business for so long. She chose to quit her career 30 years ago for some reason unknown. They find her at a mountain villa and begin an interview. Tachibana hands her the key, and Chiyoko remembers it was lost. As soon as she touches it, she starts a recollection of her memories. The 3 are brought, oddly enough into the memories, actually experiencing them as they happened once again. The past and the present collide, into one sprawling adventure.

gah wha *chokes on pretzel* icki.
hmmm best movie....movie...decisions decisions. Id sasy Ninja Scroll is a classic along with Akira i mean dayam 3 hours of niceness. Then theres also Grave of the Fireflies and Twilight of the Dark Master as well as X..except the ending...anticlimatic much. GitS was alright as was Blood the Last Vampire, cept that was a lil too short. Now and then Here and There or whatever its called is also a decent movie as was the Patlabors.

My favorite one that I can think of off the top of my head is Princess Mononoke(I think I spelled it right). The story and the characters were some of the most interesting I have seen in a while.

Wrong yet again, Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crystals is not a movie, it is a 2 tape OAV series *Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crystals (OAV) (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=613)* as stated by Anime News Network
so technicly if you havnt seen any anime movies then you shouldnt be posting in this thread, your posts could be considered spam since they are off topic
