Your specialty (mystic powers, dark arts, thievery). You get one extra use per day. So, if you previously had 3 specialty points, you now have 4

BIG UPDATE
I added the Greystone Chapel as a location on the Village Square. Here, you can do the following:
Marry another player (requires mutual consent; must be maleXfemale)
Donate to the church (gives temporary buffs)
Steal from the church (Can give good rewards, but also might bring about consequences...)
View the list of people who are married
Purgatory (You can pray for the souls of dead characters, and they might be returned to life)
Divorce Court (Get a divorce--mutual consent not required)
Make an announcement (For a fee, get an announcement posted)
Have any questions, post them, but I cannot guarentee I have the answers.

I added a "Bladder" meter. Every time you have a drink, this increases. If you let it get too full, you'll wet yourself :P
Go to the Outhouse to reduce it.
I added Merlin's Magic Shop, which allows playwers with 2+ Dragon kills to buy extreme magic ^_^
I added the Sheriff's Office, where you can sleep off drunkenness, as well as get a bounty removed from your head for a gem.
I added in the Mayor's House. This is a place within LotGD where you can inform me or Lathan of errors, glitches, or any other abnormalities you find. However, chances are it means a problem with the coding, in which case only I will be able to fix it =/

I have set it so you only get 1 PvP fight per day. Also, if you attack someone and lose, you lose 75% of your EXP to that person, instead of the previous 50%. Be wary of it.
This is in response to hearing about a few people who always get attacked and lose their experience.

Then why'd you increase the exp loss so much... it doesn't make much sense. I think losing 75% of your exp in a pvp fight is bullshit, as was 50%. It should only be 10% or so... which is much more than you ever get in a forest fight, and with less to risk pvp fights would be a little more fun instead of something that's feared.

No, if the ATTACKER loses, they lose 75% of their EXP to the defender. If the defender loses, they only lose 10% to the attacker.

yeah... well sort of. I just misread what he posted that first time. High level players can't attack low level players the way we have it set up now anyway. I believe the players you can fight have to be within two levels of you up or down.

100 is the max per level for borrowing... there isn't a way to put in a custom ammount that I'm aware of.

it all depends on how much is added, what price theyre set at and then if othe rprices need fixing to make it even / noticably expensive.

in other words... if everyone seems to easily get the new mounts when they're available the price will probably be sharply raised. mounts are something you're supposed to work for a while to get.

Kinda hard to do that when I myself am not sure what they do :P
I think the jewelry shop and tattoos affect the difficulty of a random monster fight event in the forest though. (Random event as in, like when you find gold, or find stonehenge, and so on). They make the monster easier by reducing its HP, so it might be in your best interest to collect those items >.>
Other than that, if anyone else can figure out exactly a lot of the additions so, I'd be grateful. The thing doesnt come with a description of all the modules, so all I have to go on is the name =/

I know what a few of them do, I believe so...I could be wrong though.
Tynan's Gym - Either train defense, attack, or max hit points. If it's defense or attack that you train, you lose some max hit points. If you're training max hit points, then you can choose whether to lose some defense or attack.
Apple Bobbing - Increases your HP. Not max HP though. Kind of like the Goblin Hotel drinks, minus the buffs.
Dance Studio - Increases your charm.
Heidi's Place - Either trade in ONE player vs player battle for a random amount of turns (I've gotten +4 and +5 turns so far from it); or donate 80 gold and it'll randomly be given to another player in the game.
Not sure what the others do though. The trade stall isn't even open for me, so I'm guessing you have to have more dragon kills or something.

Haunter's Lodge - get a new costume for x price (depends on your level), there are five different costumes. Buying the costume gives you new a weapon and armor that's equal to your current weapon and armor stats, just with new names. And you get a fancy title too! For three days!
Oliver's Jewelry - what Lades said (probably)
Petra's Tattoo Parlor - what Lades said (probably)
One new random event so far - the La-something thieves:
1. Give them 11 gems and they will let you live.
2. Fight them, and get gold and another item if you win.
3. Throw five gems to distract them, then run.

Ah yeah. I just got that for the first time last night. :( It only lasts for 10 rounds though, I think.
And uses up four turns, if I remember right.
Yeah, it's either 3 or 4. I wasted my turns just to find out what it was. :( I already have enough charm too. :P

lol Yeah, because you have well over 100 gems, right? :P I have about 34 gems right now. Trying to get the damn Basilisk, but we are kind of exchanging the top spot for charm often anyhow. ;)

No, its just a regular forest event, like anything else. There's a set chance of encountering a forest event, and then there's an even smaller chance of finding that monster (probly less than 1%).
For every piece of jewelry you buy, it cuts its HP. Thus, more jewelry = better chance of survival.

That's because others do not give up as easily as you do. No offense. If you're having problems slaying the dragon, just keep trying. It takes time to develop a good strategy in order to defeat the dragon as quickly as possible.

For fighting the dragon, Thievery skills are easily the best. If you're Lv10 or higher in it, you can cast Backstab, Hidden Attack, and Poison Blade to completly uber yourself up. You can defeat it in a couple attacks that way. Though easily the best ability to have for the rest of the game is Mystic Powers, as Regeneration will save you countless thousands of gold of healing over a couple games.
I'm also considering ditching the tattoos/jewelry, and their respective monsters, just because it seems kinda pointless to devote such resources to something you have such a low change of meeting.

Nah. The best way to defeat the dragon is to buff yourself up a great deal before fighting it. Visit the church and donate 2000 gold, donate blood, donate at Heidi's Place, pet Audrey's kittens, flirt with violet if you're married to her, mount/monster buff, extra felyne defense buff (if you're a felyne), goblin hotel hp buffs, candy store hp buffs, and so forth...and you can pretty much kill the thing in 2-3 hits.

Well, each time you kill the dragon, you get a few different things you can use. I agree that it can get repetitive over an extended period though...

it's 60% for atk and 30% for def.
also... I added two new mounts.
Behemoth in the "Kings" category
and
Bahamut in the "Gods" category
Behemoth takes 6 DKs, 75 Gems, and 350,000 gold to get. It's mods are atk +75%/def + 45%
Bahamut takes 8 DKs, 100 Gems, and 500,000 gold to get. It's mods are atk +85%/def + 55%

Please tell us info about the three new powers. I believe they were:
- Arcane Runes

Hand Techniques
Hand/Assassin Techniques excel in disabling the opponent. Here is how it plays out:
* 1) Shadowbind: badguy attack/defense mods (.5), due to pinning their shadows to the ground.
* 2) Rock Seal: badguy attack/defense (0), due to sealing the opponent in stone.
* 3) Aphonia: badguy attack/defense mods (.7) and attack/defense mods (1.3), due to stealing badguy's strength.
* 5) Last Breath: attack/defense mods (1.5) and a lifetap (1.2), due to stealing badguy's energy.
Arcane Runes
# Odin's Illusion Rune - Creates a Minion, which is actually a duplicate of yourself, but not with the same effect. It is just an illusion that has an attack.
# Binding Rune - Randomly generated vines go out and wrap around the badguy, not allowing them to attack.
# Ottastafur Rune - Creates a massive buff for your person...
# End of Strife Rune - Lifetapping... need I say more?
Beast Calling
* Swarm of Flies - Summons Flies, number based on your skills, divided by three
* Phoenix - Regens HP, like Regeneration, but also decreases badguy attack
* Spirit Wolf - Random Atk and Def Buff generated each time it is cast...
* Dragon - The Mighty of Mighty. Doesnt up any stats. Doesnt create a creature to fight... the Dragon gives you invulnerable for 4 turns

and hell, change the prices to Minotaur and Leviathan, they just don't match the gem prices with Bahamut and Behemoth.
Seems fine to me, since the gold cost for each balances out the low gem cost.

For just one level ahead, it's also way different in gold cost. :P
But, anyhow...I don't really mind if the Behemoth cost is changed...Just don't change the Bahamut cost (unless you want to lower the gold cost ;)), since I already have enough gems and am trying to gather up the gold for it now. :P

Haven't updated in a bit >.>
Added two new clan mods. One allows you to get your weapon or armor upgraded at your clan. Upgrades cost 450 gold * your level,and give a permanent (I think) .2 bonus to it. This bonus even carries over into PvP, so this should make the clan war more exciting >.>
I also added a clan option mod, that lets clan leaders give Officers permission to perform leader-level operations (like promoting members). It also let's you turn on an auto-accept feature, so all Applicants are immediately promoted to Member. It also gives a place for Officers and Leaders to talk in private.

Another update:
Time Warp (Forest special event)
The time warp will grant you a new day upon its use. It acts just like a regular new day in every way, however it can only be used once per server game day (if you encounter it again, and try to use it, it won't work).
Its one of the ONLY forest specials with NO negative consequences (it wont randomly kill you or anything), but it also has the lowest chance of occuring (there is only about a .9% chance of encountering it when you get a forest event, compared to about 4.7% of every other event).
Yet another update:
Random Mount Finder (Forest event)
Randomly in the forest, if you don't have a mount, you'll find one, and have a chance of catching it. You only have a 10% chance of success, but its still not bad. The mount is chosen randomly from all avaliable, even ones you can't otherwise acquire yet.
This event is also rare, having less of a chance than most other events of being encountered.

It's a Mystical Blue Apple with a 20 turn effect, but I didn't get to fight to see what it is since I was out of turns and was just stalling for time... I may have had a small attack and defense bonus, that's it... (Unless it's like the best booze that hurts enemies for a few turns)
I haven't seen most of those either... that chapel or whatever, for instance, all I see is the old Church where you can get a blessing as well as the sherrif's office, that doesn't appear either. Are they for members that only have so many DKs?
Although I shouldn't complain, because Random Mount finder blessed me with a God of a Bahamut....

Added a revival potion avaliable in the lodge. 100 points gets you a free revival.
Added a mod that lets you keep 10% of the gold you have IN THE BANK after a DK. Any more and it would be unbalancing.
Added a mod that prevents players from attacking anyone more than 3 DKs below them, to prevent rampant abuse of DK stat boosts.
Added two more lodge mods:
-Chronos Gem (300 points). Grants you an automatic newday.
-Amulet of Rue (200 points). Grants a random atk and def bonus every day for 5 days.
Added a flawless fight turn bonus cap (limited to 5 extra turns per day).

Some more changes / updates:
-Bank interest is only given up to 25000 gold. Anything more and you can't gain interest.
-Forgetfulness and Transmutation postions now cost 5 gems.
Hidden chests are added to the forest.
-Raw chan ce of finding one: 40% (most specials have a raw chance of 100%, so it'll be tough)
-10% chance of losing the chest upon a DK. (Otherwise, you can return anytime)
-Minimum of 1 DK to find them.
-Store up to 10000 gold and 20 gems, to be retrieved at any time.
-Only 10 chests total, so once they're all found, there wont be any more (losing one will return it to circulation though).

Because they are. Speaking of FF6 characters, have you noticed that the Mercenaries you randomly encounter in the forest are FF6 characters? You can thank me for that edit >.>
I'm trying to introduce mods to make the game more balanced than it has been. Unless its properly maintained, it can get far too easy for some people. I'm also thinking of toning down all of the mounts (that way, they all lose power, so no one can complain I only weakened their particular mount). I WAS gonna cut the # of extra forest fights too, but since I added the Flawless bonud cap, that's not neccessary.
And about "postions"...I'm Lord Motha Fuckin Lancet Jades. I can spell however the hell I want to >.>

Hey - here's a though....or complaint...
If I can only attack people 3 dk away - I'm kinda very limited to who I can attack.
Since there's almost no one at the DK that me and Bonix have, let alone be at the level zone to attack them.
Can't we just make a rule to protect people with low DK - say the farm people, and just limit us higher nobility to attack people whith say over five...?
.......Actually...now that I checked - only up to VLad - with 5 DK, can attack anyone. Yvl and Dragons can only attack themselves....,
and people like Bonix, William, and myself can't attack anyone.
This thoroughly sucks.....considering dueling fellow members is one of the basis' of this game.....

I limited the flawless bonuses for a reason. The way you people get to so many DKs so fast is because you buy an uber mount, then use it to earn easy, easy victories, so you not only earn enough money to feed the mount, but also get a lot more money and EXP FAST. That's also why I'm gonna weaken the mounts SOME (not much, and I'm not cutting the # of forest fights either).

Yeah, that 5 day DK is because of rampant abuse of flawless bonuses and over-powered mounts.
If I want this game to be fun, and to be more active, I need to ensure its balanced much more, and to stop high-level characters (like Power of dragons) from tormenting farmboys and driving them away.

Unfortunately, doing stuff like that is beyond my ability right now. Its either use the mod how it is, or don't use it at all =/
And just because someone has a DK doesnt make them stronger. Someone w/ 20+ DKs killing a page is just as unbalanced and immoral as the same person killing a farmboy. The 1 DK just means an extra point of attack or defense (or just 5 HP, if they choose poorly, as they most likely would).
I'm hoping the modder will release a function that sets a max DK limit on the protection, because that'd be nice. And then I'd raise the max limit as time goes on (as people get stronger, the limit will be higher).
And it does seem like it works, kind of o.o. I tested it a few minutes ago and it was actually working, so I dunno

I've been fooling around with all the additional effects of mounts besides just plain vanilla atk/def mods. There's a shitload that can be done with them, IF I (or lath, or even the flyfuck) figures them out >.>
As for custom weapons/armor, whole sets cant be done, but you can buy a custom weapon/armor name at the lodge. Its how my weapon and armor is always Meteorblade and Rue Plate. They carry over DKs, and if you buy a different weapon/armor, the name changes back to the custom one immediately.

I don't know, but I'm gonna get around to upgrading lotgd to the latest version someday. Maybe it'll work then.
And no, the custom weapon/armor are name only. Their stats are entirely dependant on which lvl weapon and armor you've bought.

I don't use it, in case it's the same chest that's accessible to anyone who found it (therefore I could be robbed blind), but the chest stays there after a DK, so maybe you can quickly go retrieve it immediately... I haven't tested it myself.

there's still quite a bit of work that has to be done to the mounts... especially with the attack and defense modifiers.
and I agree that the price was lowered too much. I made mounts like Bahamut and Behemoth thinking they'd be top tier mounts... which is why I made the price so high.

I did a little mount editing and added a new mount for 10+ dks, Tiamat.
I raised the gold price slightly and made it increase a little more consistantly considering how powerful the latter mounts are. It isn't anywhere close to what it was though. I also balanced out their buffs a little more and increased the feeding price across the board. The low tier ones are still cheap to feed, and it still gets progressively higher. I just made it rise a little faster. It's still possible to keep your buffs all the time, it's just more expensive. I think it's a little more fair considering how much more powerful they eventually make you.

Tiamat is stronger than Bahamut. One tenth stronger to be exact. Most of the mods go up in tenths.

it was 500k originally, which was probably to much, but Johnny lowered it to 80k which I thought made it way to easy to get. That's why I upped it to 125k.

I'm furthering altering the prices of mounts and generally setting up the money system to reflect those changes, so yeah.
Also, I've set the mine settings for the mounts, so now there's a chance they'll enter the mine with you, save you if there's a cave-in, or even die in there.
PS: The minotaur has the best chance of entering the mine and saving you, and the lowest death rate. Though, choosing a mount based on a single forest special is probly a stupid idea >.>

Only in the gold mine special in the forest. If you prize it so much, then don't go into the mine should you find it.
Added a new mount category: Spiteful.
The mounts in there are evil spirits that cut the owner's Atk and Def. Why have them then? They automatically return a portion of the enemy's damage back to them.
Since they are dependant on you getting damaged to deal damage back, using them will cost you a lot of money in healing, however the reflected damage cannot miss, or be riposted, which is the plus side.
Revenger: Atk/Def -25%, damage reflection rate: 1 (for every 1 damage you take, the enemy takes 1 damage)
Dark Revenger: Atk/Def-50%, damage reflection rate: 1.5 (for every 1 damage you take, the enemy takes 1.5 damage)
Death Revenger: Atk/Def-75%, damage reflection rate: 2 (for every 1 damage you take, the enemy takes 2 damage)
These mounts can even help you easily Search Suicidally, but remember, if you die, you die, even if the damage reflection would also kill your foe. And as stated before, you'll spend a sizeable fortune healing yourself, since your main form of dealing damage will be taking damage.

All I did was set it so there's a chance of your mount dying if you enter the gold mine in the forest. So if you dont want to risk it, don't enter.
There's only like a 5-30% chance of most mounts entering the mine to save you in case of a cave-in, and a further 5-30% chance of them dying.

You just have to get lucky and run across a chest in the forest again. You still lose whatever you had stored though.
Though, if someone else found it first, you'll never run across it until they lose it.

Get married. Talk to your partner dailyto get a charm point. (or sometimes you lose a point), get more from the cookie lady, get more the Stonehenge, more from old persons who hit you with a pretty stick, buy more charm from the bartender, random stuff at the bar might give you some, listening to Seth might give you some, saving the princes or prince from where ever it is gives you some. There are more ways to get more charm. Almost everything is just based on your luck. Either the guy bought the charm or just was lucky.

no... because people would abuse it. the reason the pvp fights are set to 2 is so players don't rely on pvp exp for gaining levels.
You could only use it to get one more PvP per day. But if it's like you say, then guess there's no point in making it.

It isnt JUST good mods I need, but ones that actually work well (a lot have glitches), as well as ones that are easily cusatomizable (I don't like using other people's preset characters and text).
I'd be happy to help, but with my limited PHP skillzorz I'd only be a burden...
Just work on small mods now. Nothing big or anything. The calle shells thing. It could be fun. Thing the only things you need to cutomize is the name of the trading place, how many shells you need and what you can get. (Well, I have no idea how you do anything there really, but sounds simple enough.)
One bigger thing could be like something to do with the favors you get when you're dead. I once collected 1000 favors for the fun of it. I had like 600 or so already because I kept dying at one point and I used all my torments before resurecting. Then I killed myself few times to get 1000. Heh. Idk any mods for that though.
Well, the gem store could be nice too. Sell, buy, trade gems for weapons, armour, forest fights. Think it needs more work.
Some suggestions. The shell thing is just something that I'm interested about, but the gem store thing is a good mod. At least so people say. I've oly played like 4 different LotGD's and one had it. Didn't have any gems then to see how the thing worked.

so if people want to check it out and whatnot the only prerequisite is that you join the clan im in or else im gonna so not hearthe end of it from the schmuck who runs it.
