Does anyone here have to take medication for something?

I don't, and havent for about 6 years, but i used to take all kinds of stuff for my "supposed" ADHD. I've taken Ritalin (i developed a complex tick from it..), Zoloft (i'm allergic to it), and most recently, Depicote, Clonodine and Lithium. All those damn meds put me through hell in school >_<

But, that chapter of my life is over, and i can finally leave it behind.

kuja99, a few things. First, dont double, or in this case, triple post. There IS an editor. ITs the button at the bottom-right of your postbit that says edit. Second, those posts were spam. I deleted the spam posts. Don't do it again.

And yeah, ADHD is sortya like ADD, i think. I'm not really clear on what the differences are, except ADHD has hyperactivity in the name, so... =/

Nowadays, whenever younger kids are hyperactive or cant pay attention that well, they always say its ADD and put em on ritalin >_<

Yeah that morning after pill doesn't work, I'm now pregnant.

Hyperactivity is more specific for cases that although they can't focus on a task they have to do something.

Some one with ADD just can't focus well.
Some one with ADHD *runs around the house* has an urge to go do something and well runs around the house or something like that. It's hard to explain I guess.

lol.. uh... congrats on the baby? ....... Theres a kid in my class on ritalin, he had to go to a detention on saturday morning for throwing a chair across the room.

Who hasn't done that? It's like a right of passage. You don't need pills for that you need strict military discipline to hone the rage into a more efficient killing machine, an army of one.

But honestly, are there any other types of pills people under 18 should be taking.

im not taking anything... but i definately should be... i have add, depression, im bi-polar... i have a ton of problems, but no meds... and i have used marijuana... but... not medicinally

It seems like too many, IMO. I dont think i had ADHD, instead it was just hyperactivity. I never had any problems with the attention-deficite part =/

I say they should make pills that increase my killing power, then make it legal for me to kill.

I think that the more we learn about ourselves as humans, the more we find we don't like. For some reason we have this ideal of perfection and we try and fix it with medications. Somethings are an obvious defect but others like depression or ADD, I believe, are apart of ourselves. We just don't want to admit it. Also this lustful desire I have to kill things, I believe, is perfectly normal for myself. I'm not the only one.

This whole mental state craze is like a weightloss fad. No one has found what is a normal or suited weight, it has and continues to evolve just as society continues to do so. We move so fast there is little time to cope or adjust, so we are left dazed and confused in our own flurry of "progress".

that reminds me of the episode of south park where every kid in town was diagnosed with ADD.

I have ADD and I've never taken any medication for it. I've learned to deal with it....

ADD isnt the kind of thing you can 'get' from a parent...at least i dont think it is.

no.. ADD and ADHD aren't genetic, as far as I know. you're more likely to get it if a parent has it, but there's still a good chance that you won't.

i have been on Zoloft, sleeping pills, and many other things and nothing has ever been of any help to me at all...im now taking nothing for anything...im just crazy in a way that cant be helped by pills now lollollololollolol

ya know i loved the tranqs, they were the bomb every night id just pop a few and then zZzZzZzZz out for like 14 hours...i wish i had some now actually.

But no unfortunately all ive been on is tranqs and whatchamacallits...liquid stuff uhh i cant find the word for it.... antibiotics, thats it for half a year then they gave me something when i tried to kill myself to well stop me from doing it again that lasted a week before i cracked it for the ****s and stopped buying them then all was dandy besides the cream i had to use for the eczma or however you spell it which is now down to just using those chap stick things to moisten my lips so i dont get it.
