Selfless vs. Selfish

Which do you find yourself being more often, selfish or selfless?

PErsonally, i'm a selfish person. I try to be nice, and help others and all that stuff, but when it comes down to it, i want things my way, and i want to have what i want, and if it inconvieneces others, tough. PArt of that is of course human nature, but also because i feel i dont owe the world much. Considering what i went through in school, i feel the world owes me a lot. Of course, the world wont pay up, so instead i am just selfish lot. I do helpful things for free if it doesnt take much work, or if i know the person well, but if its going out of my way for a stranger, i expect, and in some cases demand compensation and payment for my help.

Also, as an example, if you had a choice between saving 1 of your close friends, or 50,000 people you don't know in another country, which would you choose? Also, if your friend knew that saving them meant that all those people died, would you still do it?

Im usually selfless but people never notice. Its only when your selfish that they seem to notice and start to dislike you... stupid people. And i would probably choose the 50,000, just cuz its mean for all to die at my hand.

Actually to people not here(online) very selfless as i normally dont even consider myself. Whereas here quite frankly im an asshole.

So a mixture of both really and on the 1 or 50,000 thing i say screw the 50,000 the less humans there are the better.

i'm mixed. i can be a selfish greedy bastard or i can be a selfless saint that does an act of kindness for the simple reason it's the right thing to do..whether of selfish or selfless depends on the day you bump into me..lol. i mean i'd love to say i'm selfless all the time but noone is perfect.

lol, that sums me up very well, except the times when i'm selfish, i relish it, i enjoy being selfish to its fullest.

Hm yeah I try to help others as well if i can. And my Selfless side, most of the time i'm honest to people. Unless it's something that I don't really want then to know. I'm trustworthy, although a lot doesn't seem to think so...due to my immaturity.

Meh, i like to be selfless, but it isnt the"True" me. After the **** i've been through, i dont owe the world anything, so if i help someone, they should count their blessings i was willing to.

LOL I should have done that when I loaned out my games. Needless to say I don't loan them out anymore unless I trust them enough to do so.

I think i'm selfless, but only with people i dont know or if there not a good friend. But i'm selfish to my friends. :D

And for the other question i would go with the 50,000. If i was the friend to save i wouldnt let my friend save me, i dont want to live with the guilt of knowing 50,000 died for me. (and it seem right)
