I heard that Sigma got the Maverick virus from Zero. Is this true?

Yeps! That's true! Zero is the original carrier of the Maverick virus... (although as far as I know it's not too clear as to whether or not it was intended for him to have it... you know, like whether it was an extra "weapon" Wily gave to him, or if it was the result of some fault of Wily's designs or something)
If you've played MMX4, there's a movie scene that plays when Zero gets to Sigma. It's pretty much a flashback to when Sigma was still a hunter. He follows a "red maverick" into a building and fights him. He beats Zero, but not without getting the crap beat out of himself first. It's kinda supposed to be implied that the virus is transferred to Sigma during this fight, and that it slowly starts to influence him from then on, until he goes Maverick completely.
So yep, Sigma got it from Zero... (If you can't tell, I know alot about the Megaman X series...)

It would make sense, since Zero is supposed to have been the original bearer of it. It also explains why his power is enhanced by it.

*giggles* yays! Another question I know the answer to! (I'm gonna do the best I can not to spoil things)
Okay, at the end of MMX6, there's a possible ending that shows Zero talking to some scientist guy who puts him "to sleep". It's supposed to last for 100 years. (I think)
Okay, flash forward to MMZ1. X is persecuting all reploids now as Mavericks. (Along with info from MMZ2, this is apparently influenced by the fact that there's an energy shortage. Reploids use up more energy than humans, so it's easy enough for the authorities to say that the reploids have gone Maverick, and exterminate them [once again showing the impotence and corruption of the Maverick Hunters])
Anyways, Ciel, a human scientist, is sympathetic to the reploids, and helps a large group of them escape from Neo Arcadia. She recalls a legend of a Reploid that once fought alongside X in the Maverick wars, and as a last resort, goes to try to find him.
She finally is able to find the ruins of the lab where Zero rests, but she can't revive him, due to a seal placed on him to keep him asleep for the full 100 years. Her cyber elf, however, is able to break the seal, waking Zero.
However, because he came out of hibernation prematurely, his memory failed to download, and he doesn't remember really much of anything. Later in the game, he returns to the lab to retrieve the data to regain his memory, but one of X's minions has already found it. Although Zero is able to retrieve it after defeating him, it's been too badly damaged, and he can't use it anymore.
That's basically it, I guess... ^_^
