I made this after the discussion on Reoxis' welcome thread about Clive.

From my experiences, he's only mediocre. I leveled him up once, and although his tech WAS high, he didnt have the power to deliver truly powerful blows. Plus, he didnt have much rune capabilities, which is usually a staple part of my teams. I'll grant that he's an ok character, but there just isnt enough to make him stand out above a lot of other characters >_>

Provide your input towards Clive's usefulness please ^_^

my teams are usually split between people that either A: have uber defense like Humphrey or have the potential for great power hits like Pesmerga, Viktor, and Hugo/Fubar....

and B: Great magic users like Crowley, Mazus, Sasarai, and Tir (gotta have the Soul Eater when possible)

his tech at lvl 51 is 187 which is relaively high but the rest of his stats therefore fall away at that level so you onl have his tech to fall back on as i stated in the other thread.

While he may not be a strength demon or anything, I had him giving about 4 to 5 hits a turn, which really add up. Add a double-Strike rune to that and you can do 8 to 10 hits a turn. That makes him an extremely good character. Especially considering that while other characters may have stronger single attacks, if they miss, that's it, they don't have many more hits to make up for it and more potential damage is lost because of it. Also, hitting for less damage, but more times, makes it so that if you kill enemy in the middle of attacking, the character will move to a different enemy, but if your character doesn't hit much, more damage will be lost that way. Say an enemy has 100HP left, you have one character who hits twice and does 300 damage with each hit, he will hit the enemy for 200HP more than what is needed and that damage will be lost. However, if you have a character that hits four times and deals 150 damage with each hit, he will only do 50 extra damage andput the rest of the forus on the enemy. Both characters have the same damage potential, but the first character wasted more on the weak enemy than the second character did.
