2nd one by far it had a better style of play then the first i thought and while it did seem kinda childish it had a nice set of Kalma and battle types.

In short Cocoon masters who go around with the help of their betrothed capture beasts and use them to thwart the evil which threatens them.

In the 2nd its kind of like a contest mixed with the above.

my friend chris had jade cocoon but i never got into it. i admit it introduced some original concepts back in the day but to me its very outdated by today's standards.

Never played 1. 2 was ok though. I especially liked the voice acting.

I never played either of them. I'm really behind the times with platformers.

They're not platformers... I played both of them, and I much prefer JC2. I love the graphics and the gameplay is much better and smoother.

Yeah, they're monster-raising RPGs. Thus, why i moved it to the RPG forum lol.

2 was pretty darn good, and hard too. Although, near the end, it got too long-winded, and it took too long to power up your party further =/

I didn't get why he would put it in platform. A lot of monster raising games are RPG. Such as monster rancher and dragon warrior. Anyway, I own both games. Beaten both as well. 2nd one was better of course, since you are able to control up to 4 monster in a battle.

I didn't like the controller in 1. I meant the way you make the character walk. It was hard and a bit annoying. Took me a while to get used to it. I like the breeding system in 2. 1 was okay as well.

There are many more breeding games out there. One of my favorite being azure dreams. The PSX version was good but not enough monster, only about 40, I think. Good part is, you can build oyur town. And make girls to like you.

actually the ending wasnt that hard in 2 i did it after about 50 hours gameplay and 10 hours merging times.

Sabby Azure Dreams on the psx has about 50 monsters. Theres 4 elements each with about 15-20 monsters on the page + hikewne and lazyfrog as an all and none.

You don't think I knew that? Evolution of that monster would count as one IMO..
