Voting contests?

I was once a forum who did this and it got people posting. Maybe itd be fun.
What they did was have threads that were "contests". Things involving pictures, or art, writing, anything a member can show.
Examples: "Member with the coolest gaming set up" (theyd take a picture) "Best poem" (theyd post it and we'd trust they really wrote it), "Best digital art"
You get the idea.
Not sure if itd work out here but hey I thought I'd suggest it.

Theres no problem, talentless vs talentless can still make a competition...a bad one but a competition all the same

Pretty much what holly said at the bottom. I don't draw when I don't feel like it. So its kinda like, whats the point? Most people on the forum is so laid back and lethargic this kinda...wouldn't get anywhere.

I actually had a similar idea awhile ago, but it was basically like

1) 5 Volunteers step forward to judge
2) Winner of previous vote chooses event
3) The event will either be something like "Find the funniest photo with this theme" or "Find the most unfitting music for this event" so everyone has a chance since it depends on your ability to find things.

ok that much i understood. sorry if how i answered came off a certain way. but thats a little over negative dont you think? I wasnt only addressing you, anyway. I more or less meant Id be a bit dissapointed if everyone was like "oh no its too much of a pain for me take and post a picture". I really do try very hard and on several occasion to get people posting and have fun and I know Im not the most liked since I speak my mind but this is me.

I will say I didnt think you were up for it because the rest of the member might not but I couldnt tell if you liked the idea, how I understood what you said, was more of "well they wont so its a bad idea"
Id really hate to think most of them wouldnt like to try and would feel its a bother to try out a game/contest

Yeah, you can do the writing ones. I suggested all different kinds so theres something for everyone.
Like, I cant draw, haha, no way in hell could I. :P I wish I could!
I was hoping if people liked the idea we could come up with a list, maybe, of ideas and pick one out. maybe every 2 weeks, every month, something like that.

In any event, I'd be up for doing something, it'd be quite "minimalist" as I suck at graphics, writing might take a little (as typing hurtses without meds) but damnit I would rock this shit!
