I myself have fireworks 3, by macromedia still on my PC (: Fireworks and Photoshop are two different programs. Photoshop is for image touch ups. Adobe bought out macromedia a while ago. It used to be macromedia flash but its adobe flash now. Basically fireworks is a bitmap vector graphics program, its aimed for people who make web pages. Photoshop is essentially for artists while this is for web designers :) Fireworks can create slices and add hotspots. Thats about it besides low end photoshop like features.
