What did you REALLY think of FF9? (easy banning, bwahaha)

What did y'all REALLY think of FF9?

IMO, i loved it. It wasnt the best RPG ever, but it was better than 8 (i would give 8 a 5/10). I loved how it had the full equipment system again, and i also liked the abilty system. Oh, and who could forget the coolness of Steiner??? (<-- that was not sarcasm)

re-used plot
less them emphatic characters (even though Freya spanks Kain like a baby) a main character that is more a 'oh my god what type of drugs were they taking when they made this guy' type character, heck i restard that many times cuz i enjoyed the fact that he can actually die in battle.

It however isnt the worst FF game and given diff circumstances does have room for improvement so i give it a mediocre rating.

I gave it a 2, it's definetly one of my least favorites in the series although I did have the power to beat it, unlike Tactics Advance because I got so bored with it so quick.

i gave it a 6..it wasnt a bad game...i think it was pritty damn fun...but i did like FF8 a bit more lol..well..not really more..they are both about a 6/10 IMO...
it reminded me of some things in the older FFs that made me really want to go play them lol..so i guess thats why i liked 9

I honestly thought that FF9 was good, although I never defend it, it was an RPG that I could get into, unlike any other RPG...although it could be the fact that is an FF period, that made me get into it...but I did like it, there wasn't too much I'd complain about it if I was to make a list, in fact, I liked FF8, but I think that I could make a bigger list of complaints from FF8 then I could FF9

8 was a great game it's just some things about it made me lose patience like having to tidously collect arms magazines and parts just to make weapons more powerful. also i couldn't really fully understand ultimacia's motives. i know she wanted to do away with the seed organization but why? most likely because they prevented her from ruling the world but that's a lame goal in my opinion. other ff villians have had more complex reasons and motives for what they did.

I liked FF9, liked how they went back to old style FF. And the cutscenes were pretty awesome. However, I don't think that its the best FF yet, I believe that's still to come. But for now FF9 got a 7/10 from me, a good game, fun for the whole family.

well i've said before, FF6 is my fav, FF1 was my first, so they are the ones i play the most..i like pritty much all FF games other then FF10/10-2 and FFTA, FF9 was a good break from other types of games, and even other FF games..the things they brought back from the older ones made me fall in love with this game ^_^ but as much as they did put in, it could never be as good as an older FF game.

Well, FF9 can be hard at time, especially if you dont level up enough. Also, Ozma, the optional boss, is one of the hardest i've ever faced. (i was Lv55 when i fought it)

FF9 was one of the worst games in the history of RPGs. It had a crap storyline, crap characters, crap everything. Even the crap in it was crap.

FF8 is far superior to any but FF6. FF7 is overrated but good. FF9 sucks. That is the law of FF.

I think ff9 had a good story line, the side quest were good as well as the mini games. i mean chocobo hot and cold was just hours upon hours of fun.
