Saph's new job

Started my new job yesterday. Position is "Logistics" which basically means "working in the receiving department and being the jack of all trades sent around changing lightbulbs, stocking new floor models, and organizing departments, etc. Only things I'm not are a sales associate and manager.

I was susprised. I actually really like it! Things are always moving, always changing, I'm never bored! And unlike at home where it doesn't work at all these days, I get a net signal at work so I can msn on break.

Employee break room. That alone was worth getting this job for. The TV is at least 50 inches and we have sattelite TV, and employees have been known to pass out on the couch.

on my phone now on the ride home. Will lose signal shortly so I'll cut off here. Just letting everyone know I'm fine ^_^

Keeping phone for now. My first pay is the 9th. Once I get that pay I will get a new place or at least start looking. Once I get a new place I'll get the net hooked up in the first week.

Now, I realize the forum description says "complain about your job" so I have a story. Yesterday, my third day, I was 1-9. I come in. Goddamn morning guy never showed. I had 13 hours of work to cram into 8 hours, two person jobs to do single handedly, and we had tons of customers coming for pickups so it often took me 4 sittings to complete one field on a return form! Yesterday was that odd bad day but regardless it sucked. I was actually supposed to be off today but I came in by accident and good, because the morning guy didn't show again! So the new guy with no training is doing all the work. Trial by fire sucks >_<
