I just found out that my sister was in a car accident. I wish they would have called me sooner, because I was told she's been in the hospital most of today.

I'm going to be away for a while. I'm not actually going to be gone, but I won't be popping in as often for a while. I'm going to spend time with my family and stay by my sister in the hospital for a while.

I'll probably come on after visiting hours or whatever, tomorrow.

I'm back for right now, since it was too late to visit her in the hospital. I spent a couple hours with my family and they filled me in on her situation, but I won't know for sure until tomorrow when we can visit her. So I guess my "leave of absence" won't start until tomorrow.

My dad was told that they're unsure whether or not she'll live throughout the next coupe days, and if she does, she's going to have a long recovery ahead of her. Again, I won't know more than that until tomorrow, when I talk to the doctor myself.

I'm really worried, but since my parents have already gone to bed, I'd rather be here than just sitting around moping and worrying and everything.

I wish there was more I could do than just tell you that you and your family are in my thoughts, and I hope that the outcome is as good as it can be.

I might not know exactly how you feel right now, due to circumstances being different, but I have lost one friend and had several others in comas due to car accidents. I hope your sister is okay. I don't know what I would do without mine.

From personal experience, thinking too much sows the seeds of depression. If you haven't already been doing so, try to keep your mind occupied. It helps, trust me. That nagging in the back of your mind beats a full blown mental breakdown from being worried sick any day.

It takes more strength to believe in someone than to fight their battles for them. Just try to take it care of yourself, it's probably harder to be you than your sister sight now if that makes sense.
