long annoying scenes

what are the longest cutscenes that you can't skip that you've encountered in an RPG.

the longest for me is probably one of them in disc 2 of Xenogears. It's about 20-30 minutes long.

I agree with you on the scene in Xenogears. I don't really like sitting through that long scene in FF8 when Squall and Rinoa are riding back on the Ragnorok either. You cant even speed up the dialogue in either one of these scenes which is very annoying...

another annoying thing that's almost unique to the newer FF games is the super long summon scenes. In most of them you can put it in short mode, but they're still too long sometimes.

i leave the summon scenes long because i only use them if i'm desperate in boss battles

Xenosaga had a lot, but I liked them. That's about only ones I can remember.

Xenogears had a few that i wish i could skip

FF8 opening gold old fast, FF9 opening, i love it, but it shouldnt be so long...

these arent really 'long' but when your ready to play the game, and you've seen the before...all are to long :D

I hate long scenes, after i've seen em for the first time. Especially if you cant skip em >_< At leats Xenosaga allowed that.

And the problem w/ summons sometimes is if you dont let it go the full thing, in a couple of FFs, it decreases power. Remember, in FF9 how it didnt always show the full summon, but if it didnt, then its power was reduced? And in 8, you needed to Boost...

meh... they didn't matter to me in 9. I just set my options to 'short mode'.

It was so gay when a man kissed a woman huh? I haven't really come across any really long boring scenes to me. I like long scenes because I like the storyline, not so much exploring and killing things.
