How do you not starve to death?

I don't get how to make it go away? ;.;

Do you not eat at the diner?

If you let hunger pile up for a while, it actually goes above 100%.

Each food item decreases it by a certain amount. At "starving to death" it'll take a couple of whole chickens to bring it below 100%.
