Pantera is in my oppinion the best heavy metal band of all time, and Black Label Society is headed by none other than Ozzy Ozborne's guitarist... Zakk Wylde. Also a very, very badass metal band.

Pink Floyd - the Wall, probably already have that though. Might want to try Oingo Boingo, Danny Elfman is favorite musicans ever. Try some Kansas, they are pretty good. Like Lekky said Rush is a great band also. Man there's more, I'm probably a day late and a dollar short with this.

If you want something different from those I would get Garbage, Brassy, or Beastie Boys. . .okay I can't think of many others. I like Sarah McLachlan when I'm tired and Kylie Minogue is usually playing when I'm starlancing, the two just seem to go together.
