what kind of music would you like to hear in a RPG?..

rock wouldnt be bad...

rap might be kinda funny >_>

I wouldn't mind seeing more rock in games. And maybe some more outlandish tracks like in earthbound...>_> Maybe more tracks like the "Transcending Love" song in the opening to Suikoden 3.

more heavy music would definately be nice. basically, more soundtracks like Castlevania SotN.

I was taken aback when I heard that on the OST..I purchased it before FFX came out and I really liked "Otherworld" it's a good song...it's funny because most soundtrack loyalists hate that song with a passion. Guess I'm the exception.:D

i quite liked the music in Shadow Hearts, it was kinda creepy, ya know as long as it fits the mood.

Id like to see though more 80's rock, i mean take the transformers movie, that soundtrack was awesome and i think games could benefit by going oldish.

Though Nobuo Umatsu(sp?) is a damn good composer

and yes, more 80s metal in games would be great. the best of all games that have music like that is Guilty Gear XX. every song in the game is really great 80s style lead guitar work.

I'd love to hear rock, soft rock or alternative type music for general and more hard rock or heavy metal for a strong character's theme.

and for boss fight music. brutal heavy music is great for that... especially when it's a really vicious boss you're fighting.
