Happy Halloween everyone! Is anyone doing anything special for Halloween this year?

I am just going to work so nothing special for me. I may see a few extra crazies tonight, but that's it.

I was meant to be going with my mum. We were gonna go have some fun but she can't make it (extremely valid reasons, I might add)

On the plus side, my brother called and now I'll be having dinner with him and his girlfriend. So it's not all bad.

That reminded me. Yeah. Our house will probly get egged again this year. As it does every year.
I'm unlucky and I live opposite a street full of...Um...Well they aren't nice people.
I went to school with a few people who live up there and they thought that saying "Hello" meant spitting in your face.
They come out every now and then (And on Halloween) to egg houses, steal things off and inside of cars and just steal anything that isn't nailed down, really.

Oddly enough, it tends to be just this area, that street and any other closely surrounding areas that have trouble.
Burnt House Lane is the name of this evil place. A fitting name, really...Since the whole area looks pretty darn grubby and disgusting.
They're pretty much all chavs and junkies. And if someone nice and normal lives there...They tend to complain about all the trouble they get.
You see, if you aren't a general down and out, the people there won't welcome you and they'll make your life a living hell.

I'm not kidding. It's true. It's like some giant clan or club...They're all really weird.

On a more serious note: Ever since the riots in 2000, Halloween on campus has been nonexistant other than a haunted house in one of the rec halls. Kegs get you a fine so no one has keggers like they do for other holidays, and cops are virtually on every corner so plenty of underage people trying to get into the one bar that is open tonight (19 to enter, but legal drinking age still applies) will get busted. However, some friends and I are going to go and see Zack and Miri Make a Porno tonight then back to one of the dude's apartment where we will bust out a case of energy drinks/soda and snacks and either watch a bunch of B-Horror flicks or play Rock Band 2 until we fall asleep.

I think it's a night well spent.

I'm not really doing anything this Halloween like every year. I'm satisfied though since I got to spend some time with my awesome girl earlier today.
Well, I am having a guest over this weekend who is flying over from Philadelphia, though not Halloween related.

I'll probably just watch a bit of anime, play some Touhou, or play a bit of Rainbow Six 2 on the PS3

I'm going to a football game, game of the year around here. I was planning on watching a Halloween marathon, but that looks like its not going to happen.

Well we didn't really celebrate halloween over here, apart from a few little kids, so i didn't do anything for it. Well i watched a soccer match and Melbourne won, so i was happy.

I just finished the most awesome reading of Berserk ever. I had "What if UN Owen Was her?" on in the background while sipping on my first glass of wine ever and eating copious amounts of cheese. It really made up for the fact that this book kinda sucked, even if it is a perfect setup for future awesomeness.
