I'm sure we've all read at least one book, be it fiction or non. I'm sure there are some that have read more than one. And kudos to you.

Anyway, who is/are your favorite author(s)? What is/are your favorite book(s).

My favorite author is Haruki Murakami. I've read all of his books and I've enjoyed them immensely. Although 'After Dark' was rather lackluster.

I also enjoy the works of Chuck Palahniuk, though often it feels like he goes so far because, at this point, it's expected of him.

My favorite book is Geek Love by Katherine Dunn. I have a thing for creepy stories about fucked up carnival freaks.

My favorite by Murakami is The Wind Up Bird Chronicle followed closely by Dance, Dance, Dance. It's really hard to pick a favorite. But I might be biased in that regard.

Robert Cormier. His books are way too short, but great while they last.

Chocolate War was one of my favorites in high school. But that was before I got heavy into reading novels weekly.

Dan Abnett. Great science fiction writer. His tales always get you straight in and paint a vivid picture while reading. he's seriously one of the best Sci fi writers i've read in a long long time.

Richard Laymon, I love everyone of his books, but if I had to pick a favorite, Body Rides.

John Grisham, more specifically A Time To Kill and The Street Lawyer.

Tom Clancy, and everything endorsed by him.

I'm currently reading Wiseguys (like... i bought it today.), and if it turns out to be as good/better than Goodfellas, then Nicholas Pileggi as well.

For sci-fi/fantasy, I tend to read more R.A. Salvatore and David Eddings.

And of course the brilliance of The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks.

George Orwell 1984 and Animal Farm probably other good books by him just don't have a lot of time to read, also Douglas Adams for his Hitch Hikers books.
