I copy/pasted this from FTS (an affiliate). It was a bush or kerry debate, but i basically saidwhat I'D do if i were president. It would be the same if it was the world, except a bigger scale.

Bah, put ME in office. I'd have the US a facist dictatorship in no time, and times would never be better. With me wielding absolute power, i'd bring logic, morality, and above all justice back into our legal system. No more criminals getting off on "technicalities". I'd make sure public schools were safe for all kids, and bullies would be dealt with quickly and efficiently. I'd also whip our health system into shape, and make sure no one had to suffer poverty in dirty slums. Anyone i employ to maintain all these things that failed to do their job (on purpose, as accidents can happen), would besuitably punished. As for justice, revenge, vendettas and retribution, the "eye for an eye" principle would be re-instated. If someone is found guilty of murder, a soldier (facist states have no "police" ^_^) would be standing by to fire the executioner's gun, as soon as its found that the defendant is guilty (juries and the like would still be used). Rapists would be raped themselves by a special task force of homosexuals (who i employ for the job). White collar criminal would have all their funds and property confiscated for use in maintaining society, and they would be exiled to Canada or Mexico. Steps would be taken to preserving the enviroment, such as massive research towards clean fuel sources (hydrogen, solar, fusion, etc--think sim city!) as well as hydrogen cars. urban sprawl would be halted, and urban areas of cities that have dteriorated would be refurbished, with plots of grass and trees wherever possible.

And, all of that would be possible, merely by electing me, and allowing me to take over as a facist dictator. And I'd do it without blood too, as I'm sure there's some loophole in there which allows it. If nothing else, i'll settle for being King :)

ya know what i find laughable about this, its to rule the wolrd and lades copied him ruling the US :P

Overview of structure: myself, a fundamentalist state with communistic values. Asia would be the major technological standpoint with japan running from hydro plants and China and India doing mainly manual labour of production of mass technology. Russia will head the strategic space satellites which will provide coverage world wide of entertainment and such therefore eliminating regions upon countries. There will be a single monetary value in which each country is weighted upon their value to the whole. Ie if your production is down 20% your value decreases by half that, this would then enable some capitalistic goals in a uniformly fundamentalist communistic set up without changing the basic structure. Europe will become mainly agricultiral along with australia both providing different spectrums of taste and cultural food (as agriculture will be centralised farmers will then be shifted to appropriate areas for skill in both sections and given land in which to lodge and farm. Farms will be placed within greenhouses)

Military: The UN will be overhauled and disbanded and the US, China, India, Russia, Japan and Egypt will become the main peacekeping force. Each will be set out in platoons assigned certain techicians and skill requirements to tackle situations adequately. They will answer to a head corps who will in turn answer to officials and advisors who will answer to my staff and me.

transport: construction of trans atlantic tunnels will comence as trains join boats and planes as world wide transport. For these trips bullet trains will be used and wil eventually replace all modern day trains, uniform power: electricity. Each major town will have short access to an airport and coastal towns will have a harbour therefore making transport to specific places easier and faster.

Govt: Basically set up with 1 head multiple necks. Me as the head honcho, 5 vice's. Minister for infrastructure, Health, Research, Transport located on every major continent answering to a head Minister. Agriculture will be headed by a seperate dept as will tehcnology. Religious temples will overhauled and made into housing. Practicing of religion will be private any propaganda scattered in media form will result in imprisonment and/or fines. Upon failure to adhere to these rules the party will be dissolved by force if neccessary and all parties thereunto scattered and monitored.

Law: Crime will be tolerated on a 1-1 basis. Since neccessities will be given theft will result in fingers being removed and barring a psychiatric evaluation death for death. Uniform police world wide each with a section to better evaluate the cultural differences and discrepencies to better form a judgement.

Housing: Prodominantly China, Japan, India and the US will provide major housing areas with houses erected where needed for other duties. Damage to the house will result in compensation given and a total days in lock up for reconstruction. For minor offences volunteer work is negotiable. Houses wil nto be uniform and can allow any form of structure keeping with the expressive feeling within the home.

Well, thats the only suitable punishment according to "eye for an eye". Well, not the ONLY one, but still.

Besides, the victim would be the one to mete out punishment, and so she (or he) could hire the team (free of charge, of course. They get their payment on the job >_>). The only person who truly has the right to judge a criminal, and to deliver punishment, is the victim (or their family if the victim is rendered unable). Oh well.....

Meh, why would you want to be feared by people other than your enemies? If you're loved, it makes everything work out much better, as long as the people you rule know well that should they cross you, they'll have reason to fear you...

I didn't say anything about their army... just the Israli Air Force. It isn't 'better' equipped just larger than the US AF. North Korea has the 4th largest military in the world. Militarially, the only reason that the US is viewed by many to be the most powerful is because of technology... which is good and bad in situations like they're in right now. If it was Jet vs Jet or Sub vs Sub the US would win 90% of the time, but in urban combat it's possible to land a successful attack on US troops with very crude tactics.
