First, off topic, I was planning on putting this in the gates...but as far as I know the gates are for flame wars against members. This is about my computer(s).

Ok, heres the situation. I'm currently taking 2 online courses and ever since I made my last help thread about my network, I've been having some problems with my net (although its mostly fixed). Heres the problem, even though I'm completely connected to the internet and to my network (my turret client even works), I can't access web pages. Each time I get disconnected, I have to reboot. Now, keep in mind that these outages at completely random, usually though they have a pattern of giving me at least 1-2 hours online, sometimes they don't happen for several hours or even the better part of the day.

I'm sure some of you can already guess how this is going to end. 1 online timed test + net failure (right after boot) = near failure (thankfully I managed to memorize the answers...if I hadn't, well...it crashed while I was on the last question and I had to start over). This is like the 4th time this has happened... if I didn't know any better I'd say this useless expensive piece of shit is pinpointing the exact time when I need to be online and crashes. My last computer was exactly the same. I could stay online for a little while (like 10 min) after that it'd crash, but unlike now, the entire network connection crashed...this time the stupid thing can't even diagnose what the hell is going on. Heres what makes this so damn fucking funny...it's trying to correct an internet crash by accessing microsoft's online database, and recommends that I restart my router. And as helpful as vista is, it gives me a convenient option to reset the router. *wait* ... *wait* ... "windows could not correct the problem, would you like to reset the router? Resetting the router can solve most network problems". Ain't that just precious...the useless piece of garbage is going in fucking circles.

OH goddamn...how I'd like to punch a certain microsoft CEO in the face with a spike-lined gauntlet.

Vista is the greatest piece of garbage that microsoft has spewed, EVER. I mean...I am willing to go as far as to say I'd rather have win 98 or, dare I say it, a mac.

Vista eh? Vista strikes again. Seriously. I'd just try and get a clean copy of XP SP2, not 3. My gosh the horror stories i've heard already of SP3 hitting was bad x.x But yeah. >.> Even though a fresh clean start if you wanna pay for a hard cop. it'll be like 80 bucks >.> I'd say its probably more worth it. Or download what was the name....I think it was like. MiniXP? Uses half the resources for runnign then normal XP. would probably be a better choice then vista any day.

Wait... what's wrong with XP SP3?

Quite a lot of friends I talk to over messengers have been having a lot of problems with it >.> Even one that works on computers for a living and had problems similar with vista or new problems occurring on SP3 run XP

I would love to, I have win xp (home) and win xp (pro) and even a version a called nemeses (its basically a modified xp pro). But the problem is that the laptop I have refuses to work with anything other than vista. When I try to use xp I get graphics problems and/or network problems.
