I finally broke down and bought Castlevania Lament of Innocence and Sword of Mana today.

I ve beaten Sword of mana and its pretty good but I have no clue on C:LoI.

Yeah I like LOI but I havne't played very much of it...I haven't played sword of mana yet. So I'm anxious to hear what you think of them.

Sword of Mana (FF Adventure on the gameboy) is an rpg, and Lament of Innocence takes place before every Castlevania. It happens in the 1100's. Leon Belmont is the hero.

Yeah, its completly different, except for the story. Also, if you played Legend of Mana, a lot of the names of materials are towns and such in it, like Menos (MenosBronze), Topple (ToppleCotton), Granz (GranzSteel), Jadd (JaddHemp), Ishe (IshePlatinum) and Lorimar (LorimarIron)

I 'll be interested to see what you think of Lagend of Mana as well. LOI is fun to play, i rented and tried it out, i liked it. My brother who is the big Castlevania fan, didn't like it at all. BUt he's stupid so I never listen to him.

I'm about 6 hours into Sword of Mana now... I chose the male character, and I'm on level 20. I've, for the most part, done what Johnny suggested and leveled up as random. I've got about 14 levels as random.

No, no, no >_< You have to do the first 40 levels as Random, no matter what. That gets you the Crystal Ring accessory, which
gives you +20 to all stats. If you even did ONE level differently, you messed it up =/

it's ok. it's only +20 on every stat that I won't have. :pissed

I'm on level 26 right now btw. My class is 'barbarian'. I don't know how good that is in the hierarchy of mana classes.
