Favorite type of sword?

My fav are rapiers. Elegance and deadlyness all wrapped up into one pachage :D

I've always been torn between Claymore style broadswords and Katanas. Katanas are by far the best made and best designed swords that ever existed, and they're very efficient for cutting and stabbing. Broadswords are the big "intimidator" though. :D

Well I would have to go with either a broadsword or a longsword because I have one long sword and one broadsword in my basement.

All of you are wrong the best blade ever, by far is a Gun Blade...DUH. Now if talking blades that actually exist I would have to say that the Katana is teh leetness

I like all types of swords but as to one I could actually use...it would be an Epee sword or rapier.

a sword that I really don't like, but I think looks cool is an arabic Scimitar or Falchion.

saweeds for sure, katanas are for elegance in killing so why not stab him and tear out his insides while your at it ^_^ gotta love serrated blades.

but thats the beauty of it, yu can do the most mundane thing with it and ppl will say that its overkill. Your an instant star lol

not really depending on the angle of the cut you could break the blade and even if yu did stab which it prodominatly is if yuo dont pull it out correctly again the blade is snapped or embedded.

I still prefer rapiers, but katanas are ok. Also, i like broadswords, just because.

I've never been too big a fan of the katana =/

yeah, Scythes are used in harvesting grain. A name of that occupation used to be reaper. That's how the Grim Reaper's name and weapon came about. Grim meaning (gloomy/depressing) and Reaper as in a harvester of souls. A Scythe was a logical tool to give him.

those are Rapiers. well... most of his are. one of them is a cutlass I think, but the others are all rapiers.

I thought Rapiers were much smaller than Raph's swords? O.o I'm probably wrong though.

there are two types of rapier. the dumbed down kind used in fencing and the other kind used for actual combat. Raphiel's are the kind that were used to kill with.
