I've gone through similar problems with my old computer (problems which were never fixed) and now I'm dealing with the same ones now.
I try to get back into my home network, which up until yesterday worked, and it either tells me that theres no connection (while signal strength is at 100%) and when I try to manually input the ip/gateway/dns settings it connects and the packages get sent...however my computer just doesn't receive them.
So, the question is how do I set up my wireless card to receive an incoming signal (or packages)
(I attached screenshots)
edit: I almost forgot, I have to constantly have to do a repair the connection in order to have it start sending packages (which my computer doesn't receive :uhhh).

Try resetting your router.
It's also funny that you posted a graphics problem and a wireless problem on the same day when those are the exact problems my computer has.

my router (gateway) is working perfectly, since I know I'm receiving the signal...my computer just doesn't seem to know what to do with it
edit: I feel a little better knowing I'm not the only one suffering. But I have a feeling your worse off than me. When my graphics weren't working my internet was but when I fixed my graphics my internet stopped working
...I don't know whether this is from the lack of sleep or my splitting headache...but I'm starting to think technology hates me >_<

Screenshot the properties of the connection thanks tcp/ip settings if you could.
Also attempt to ping using the cmd window to see if you can actually send and receive a base ping to begin with as it could just be your servers end and not a problem at your joint or some manner of "yeah oops we actually don't support this stuff... OUR BAD SPEND MORE MONIES KAY!"

Which properties are you talking about? Internal protocol?
edit: The ping connects to the gateway but not to the DHCP server
edit: I just realized I put this in the wrong forum (can someone move it)

Not necessary now. :D Future reference simply properties of the network connection and then the tcp/ip properties to see if its auto assign and if it's not if you were given default settings to then toubleshoot with inputting them.

There's a key problem as to why you're not getting packets as you kinda need to connect to the DHCP. As such you're probably not actually connected to the DNS server either. :P
This is beyond any of us knowing how to fix it without core details about your net (as in possibly accessing the router / modem configs and manually assigning DHCP's based on your account information). As such, first step for me would be to check your documentation you received from the company to see if you an manually assign values instead of auto assigning them and trying that. (using the above method in tcp/ip or in your routers actual settings) failing that if either of your router/modem has a diagnostic tool run it and go from there, and failing that it's call up to tech support saying "I'm not getting access to the DHCP at all, fix it fix it fix it!"

ugr I hate dealing with the tech support hopefully they have an IM service...otherwise I'm taking it to a shop
*shiver* last time when I had to deal with them it took 4 hours to speak to a real person...and about 2 hours of them to ask all sorts of useless questions and redirecting me from one person to another only to end up telling me I wasn't covered for the problem I was having (heh, those morons just couldn't figure it out >_>)
