Okay, well...
I don't put my hand over my heart when the National Anthem is sung and for quite some time now, I've refused to wear anything with an american flag on it... I have not been proud of my country as of late or the president and for me to don something showing my patriotism, which I really don't have, would be very hypocritical.
The thing that makes me really angry, though, is when people say his name over and over again, as if that has to do with anything, and associate him with terrorists just because of it. Also, the muslim thing... so his dad was a muslim, big fucking deal. So he attended a muslim school for 2 years, big fucking deal. Even IF he was muslim, that would have nothing to do with anything... So this country was founded on christianity... well, things change and this country has changed a whole hell of a lot. This country was also founded on the constitution, but it doesn't look like anybody really cares about that anymore, either.
And, are you serious? Because McCain was a war hero, he should be president? Oh, okay... Hahaha!
I really don't know what else to say... I don't like Jeremiah Wright at all, but I don't feel like that should have anything to do with it either...

I don't really have time for this, but looking at the date added it should be noted that Obama "disowned" Wright no more than a couple days after this video was put out (in a way that made it look almost entirely planned by both parties, but whatever).
I have my own problems with Obama, but the video misses the mark entirely.

I didn't even bother watching after the first couple minutes. I've heard this all before, and it all represents the idiocy that makes me ashamed to be an American. "We're at war with Islam, and he has a muslim name"? That's the kind of blind thinking that makes our military do such idiotic things like shoot the Quran for target practice while ini the presence of Muslims. Not to mention that nobody should give a fuck about name - If Washington's name were Satan, he would have been just as good a leader. And yes I am aware of what he stands for and am fully behind it, and it baffles me when people use "liberal" as an insult considering the fact that "conservative" has had a record in recent years of being an ideology of ignorance.
In short, there are no words to describe the stupidity of people like this.
Oh, and as for McCain, him as president would be nightmarish. The more I learn about him, the more I begin to fear what kind of hell the world would be like with him. At this point, I trust Bush more - at least he chose enemies with relatively small nations rather than having a plan to alienate Russia and China together. People are afraid of Obama because of his name when there's a psychopath like McCain running for office against him.

Funny...
pretty funny...
It talks about fact - but it's facts are often wrong, or opinions...
It is supposed to be about Obama, but half of it is about his wife, campaigners, or pastor...
It asks questions which should be rhetorical and not be agreed with...
No, of course it doesn't matter that his name is Obama...
Fiction - His father was not muslim. From his childhood, he was an affirmed atheist - and Obama only knew him for a few years.
Opinion, I don't believe his wife was being unpatriotic in her comment. She stated something very forceful and that could have been taken wrong, and it was really said in a stupid way, but I don't find it unpatriotic...
Hypocritical, considering several anchors and critics don't wear the stupid pins either. Frankly, I applaud that - since I always found the pins just what he stated they were - a replacement for real patriotism.
Also - one raises his hand for the pledge of allegeance - not the anthem...
( Something I really get angry about because of the extreme number of people I know who wont even stop for the anthem ).
This is a monument to stupidity...
It actually focuses on Fox New's ability to be racist over a name...
It actually gets angry at him for saying Imus should be fired...? Imus sucked - he was boring and brought in very stupid people to talk - that is why he was on at 6 AM. Also - the guy said something racist and stupid..., mix up or whatever - he was bound to be fired...
I frankly prefer Morning Joe - much more intelligent..., you don't want an old schmuck on when you just woke up...
and what the hell was that from Hannity..?
" I know about theology - I studied it..."....." I took a seminar " ????????
Wow....
You just told a preacher that you know about theology because you took a seminar....?
Also - Liberation theology...
the guy obviously doesn't know the first thing about it..., and his info was way way way wrong...
he didn't even get the place right...
The concept began during the second vatican council, hosted in Brazil...
Not Cuba...
Cuba is not even in Central America - it's in the carribean...
wow...
look, guys - I'm gonna stop...
this is going to get me riled up all day...
I'm not here to defend Obama, BUT I HATE WRONG INFORMATION

But why do it here, where few people if anyone feels that way about Obama and his name?

FINE, posted that comment on youtube where there are people who feel that way.I'm sorry, but what does that solve? By missing the point you've lost the right to criticize the video at all, because you can't complain about the "stupidity of people like this" when you're focusing on exacerbating the problem.

Well, what was the purpose of posting it in the first place...?
The video had several errors and was very much slanted..., thus the reaction was negative...

I wasn't sure what to think of it at first. It did seem pretty purposely slanted against Sen. Obama, but I thought you guys might make more sense of it than I did, so I posted it here. I didn't think the thread would end up like it did!

Anytime anything negative is said about Obama, its a powder keg for Yvl at this point.
Listen, no one here thinks he's a secret terrorist and by claiming you think McCain is some neonazi, you're only making the situation worse. I'd even go as far as to call you a hypocrite for yelling at people who state things like this. Certainly there is a lot of rift raft in the piece. I jumped around a bit, but there are some legitimate complaints one can make about him. John Edwards--a man who endorsed Obama no less--chimes in at about the 2:30 mark. Obama is largely an unknown voter and he seems to be benefiting because of that. He's certainly a charismatic man, but that alone does not a good president make.

Not just for me, I'd say this is the most volatile issue in america right now.
I saw something on MSNBC that explained my views better (and by no means do I think he's a neonazi in any way) but I can't seem to find it on youtube. The guy (who was a former national security adviser) was just eloquently wording (and backing up through mounds of evidence) that if McCain is elected and he follows through with his policies, we're fucked and would be a "global gated community".
My language was strong, and I apologize for that, but my underlying message stands. People are so afraid of terrorism these days that they don't realize how much worse it could get, and would get under McCain.

This video was fun.
In the same way that a toddler who is just learning multiplication telling me that my Algebra II is "easy" is fun.
You know, fun in the way that makes a quiet rage boil inside of me...
The one and only legitimate point made by the video was made by John Edwards, who doesn't carry the extreme right slant of the rest of the video (count the times FOX news is displayed somewhere on screen).
